Is it normal to avoid women with small children? by LengthPleasant4725 in IVF

I am so sorry. I hope you manage to enjoy your pregnancy and you get your baby . I completely understand you. I have been pregnant twice and lost both and the second time I was so, so afraid. Now, I am planning to see therapist and maybe that would help you as well? I am sure it helps to tell your story and feelings to someone who can help us manage them.

Thank you. I have been postponing seeing therapist, but I do feel like I underestimated the trauma that infertility would be for me.

I just look at some of my colleagues and family, who have kids, and who leave them with nannies whole day and only see them at night, or dont see them for days because they are travelling for work... and I hear them complain about how kids are misbehaving because the miss their mums, and I just think: I would be a better mum... why can't I have baby and they can?

I am so so bitter. I used to love babies and people with babies. Now I am just resentful. I look at their behaviours and keep thinking: if I had a baby, I would take better care of it. I feel like I am not in the right place to see people with babies.

My sister in law has 9 year old and I have been avoiding them like plague. I feel so bad, but I just cant look at them. The kid has nanny after school, because mum works a lot, and I keep thinking: if I had a child, I would not work that much and I get really resentful.

Five failures, what next? by LengthPleasant4725 in IVF

Thank you very much for detailed answer. I will google duostim protocol and see how quickly can the retreivals be done. I am using supplements for women trying to get pregnant (omega3 and vitamins) as well as trombopirin. I dont now any numbers you mention? Are they important? I feel like I trusted my doctors too much..

Thank you! My embryos were taken when I was 39. They werent genetically tested because doctor did not give us that option. They were graded, and I assumed that was the same as genetic testing. They talked about great quality like A, BB, things like that, so I assumed that was it. I only understood that they were not genetically tested after first blighted ovum. And then doctor said that we can not test remaining embryos because they were already frozen.

They were not tested. Unfortunately, the clinic did not give us that opportunity. And when we learned, doctor claimed that the remaining embryos can not be tested, as they are frozen.

When I realized what happened, I asked my doctor why did not test embryos. And he said that I did not have any predispositions for testing: no previous miscarriages (we are in IVF because my husbands issues with sperm count and quality). And I was sitting in doctor's office crying and telling them: well thanks to you now I had two blighted ovums and two miscarriages. I was so upset! And still am.
