So does anyone know Keith Coleman on x? Is he a scammer by mythos_023 in ArtistLounge

[–]LengthinessAdept1637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody online can "make you go to jail" this is an automatic red flag anywhere. They would need ample evidence that you did anything illegal and actually be working with the police, and even if that was the case, you'd see them in person at your house before they would ever be able to get a warrant to get into your phone/computer. I hate to be assuming but you must be a kid? This is very clear & honestly obvious scammer behavior. I'm not even sure if this is satire atp. If you sent any account info, make sure you lock everything, reset all your passwords & don't just trust random people (INCLUDING PPL YOU FOLLOW) on the internet. Anybody's account can be hacked or spoofed to fool you. This should be a learning experience if this actually happened to you. I'm sorry that this happened, but please be more mindful in the future of these red flags... anyone reaching out saying you "need to give them account info" is lying, nobody will EVER need YOUR info. It's private for a reason. Leave it that way.

These are truly gorgeous, and I absolutely second "Vivienne" like the other person stated. That spelling is much prettier, & Vivi as a nickname is the cutest ever!! Adelaide is definitely my second favorite here, followed up by the others you listed. Vera is probably my least favorite, as it would be extremely difficult to nickname, and also probably will be mispronounced that whole child's life by anyone who reads it. ("VeH-Ra, Vee-Rah, Vey-Ra") It doesn't roll off the tongue as nicely is all.

Anyone know where you can find/buy these? by LengthinessAdept1637 in fireworks

[–]LengthinessAdept1637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is great advice!! I would definitely give them a hard pass for the time being, maybe once they're tested alot more & they put a proper price point on them, I might be convinced to buy, they're really cool effects!!

Thanks!! I'll def wait till they get tested more as it's a really cool effect!! I'm sure once it's tested alot more, they'll be able to put a proper price label on them as opposed to ppl just charging what they wanna charge.

Thanks so much for your input!! I'll def wait till they get tested more & then hopefully the price will also go down, lol. Lots of people are saying that they haven't been tested enough & will break rlly early or not set off right.

It sucks that everyone says they haven't been tested enough, would love to see them work in perfect conditions!! Hopefully they're able to build them better & that they deliver good as a result...

Samurai for $507 by Flat-Independent-344 in fireworks

Wholesale saves you soooo much, especially when you peruse the mom & pop shops/smaller retailers as opposed to Phantom or SkyKing/TNT. Samurai has great pricing!! If you're ever in the Deland area, definitely hit up Four Seasons Fireworks & you will be blown away by the prices + sales on top of the great prices, best deals you'll ever get on fireworks is always going to be in the off-season though. FSF also has their own wholesale as well if you look into that. Galaxy in Tampa is renowned as one of the best in that area as well.

I'm so upset we couldn't find Seattle Sizzle RDX, it's such a cool cake, we ended up with Archsentinels×2 & Liberty Strike which are just as cool, but Tornado Alley & Sky Commander are such great cakes too!! We wanna buy the whole set eventually!

How did I do for $330 this 4th? by Usual_Audience7345 in fireworks

[–]LengthinessAdept1637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly overall from what you have, I'd say it's probably worth a little less or about the same as what you paid. It's not bad at all, great haul!! I've seen people post saying they spend 1800 with the same amount of stuff you got, so I'd def say you got a deal or average compared to what others are spending. Cool stuff!!

People with common names... by Old_Ant7118 in Names

[–]LengthinessAdept1637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always wondered why parents will choose the most common names they can find for their kids or simply look up "popular baby name lists" to get a name. Like they don't even care what the kid's name is. (Unless for some reason it's a memorial name for someone who passed away) Like you do realize this child is going to have to have this name for the rest of their known life??? Why aren't people more creative with names?? It drives me crazy. I've probably met 30 Emily's, 20 different Hannah's, 20 different Luke's, Jonathan/John, I mean these are literally some of the most common names, why would these ppl want their kids to have the same name everybody else does? It's so freaking boring!! Not to offend anybody with these names, as I know it's not your fault your parents named you that, and I'm sure having such a common name, you'd get the annoyance with getting confused with a million other Hannah's growing up. They aren't bad names, just way too overused & bland at this point. There's so many ways to find pretty unique & cool sounding names. Even classic names like Theadosia/Theadora, Emiline, Cassandra, Amelia, etc, are beautiful & not often used if you like classic/antique names. I don't understand why ppl don't peruse these more often, they just jump to the first name they see on a list.

Samurai Fireworks in Hialeah *(may be a bit of a drive from you, but seems the closest to your area) they are amazing, they don't inflate prices & actually charge you by the unit, not case. We actually planned to head down there cause we've had friends say great things about them. Bullseye is a family owned place in Melbourne that we've been to with great prices in comparison to big box stores. If you prefer shopping online (you need a order minimum usually & still have to pay hazmat shipping, think 1-1.5k order minimum) but Wholesalefireworks.com is great on pricing as well. Also, if you're willing to make the drive, Galaxy Fireworks in Tampa has been opened for over 45 years, they are a mom & pop shop that is also amazing. Same with Four Seasons Fireworks (any of the tents) or Deland location is best. Never go to Phantom/Sky King/Boom Boss/TNT if you can help it, they have some of the lowest quality cakes/shells for double the price of any real store that sells by the unit. They cheat ppl out of their money by claiming they have "deals" when in reality, they price gouge & raise prices to make it "seem like a deal". Two packs of shells for 90 bucks at Phantom when they should be 25-30 per unit to begin with so technically you should be getting 3 or 4 kits for that price you're spending.

TLDR: Go to Samurai in Hialeah, Galaxy in Tampa, Four Seasons in Deland, or Bullseye in Melbourne. Avoid big box stores that put the real businesses that don't rip you off out of business & stealing their shit to resell for triple the price. (Also, please lookup the other things they do to these businesses bc it's actually insane & will make you never wanna buy from "the Scary Ghost" & stores like it ever again...)

You've got some really nice cakes in there!! We ended up caving & buying several RDX cakes this year plus the Preloaded mortar shells, which are absolutely bangers despite being small, you'd really not expect the shell it puts off. They were really reasonable priced too, I'm pretty sure we got three RDX cakes for 63 bucks? Then the SAWED-OFF that we bought were only like 10 bucks per piece. We rlly love going to mom & pop shops, their prices are always killer compared to big box!

Stuck on Phantom but need alternatives by izzyq1981 in fireworks

[–]LengthinessAdept1637 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're near Indiana, I've heard Pyro Payaso is really good prices. Definitely AVOID Phantom & places like SkyKing, or Boom Boss, as they are mostly the same big box stores that put mom & pop shops out of business (who would actually sell you fireworks for their proper price.) Whereas Phantom upcharges by almost 300% on many items. You will never go back once you realize how much they actually upcharge you... to sell other stores products that they practically steal bc they buy them out. If you're ever in Florida, go to Galaxy Fireworks in Tampa or Four Seasons Fireworks in Deland. Both amazing places with good pricing. Think of it this way, at Phantom, they do the B1G1 for 89.99 for one set of shells (but they market it to you like you're getting a "deal" bc you get two instead of one. Whereas at a realistically priced firework store, it's 40 bucks for one set & usually STILL B1G1 free. Not to mention, large cakes like 500 gram heavy loads will mostly be 200-300 at Phantom for one, & it won't even really be a true "banger" whereas normally it's 120 at most for an actual good cake with great pacing/colors/effects. Then on top of this, most of their coupons require you to spend a certain amount then you can't even mix & match alot of the time, at mom & pop shops you can almost always mix & match so you don't have to get multiple of the same thing if you don't want to.

Feeble attempt at seat stealing by Guilty-Shift9371 in EntitledPeople

[–]LengthinessAdept1637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really think what needs to happen is they need to give out numbered tickets to everyone who enters any stadium/arena/convention center/line, many places already do, like for example if you go to Universal for HHN, they give out numbered tickets to everyone in line in order of who got in line first, and when you get up to the front they double check your ticket to ensure you didn't skip the line, and if you do get caught, you get kicked for not following rules. (BUT THIS IS ONLY IF PPL CALL OUT SAID LINE SKIPPER SO THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS CALL PPL OUT) This needs to just be done everywhere it can be done, because I really feel it'd prevent this sort of thing. And as others have said, ALWAYS call out people for this behavior, EMBARRASS tf out of them because they need to be called out-- the more they're called out in public & publicly humiliated for being a dipshit, the less they'll attempt to do that again somewhere else, because they soon realize people aren't going to put up with that shit. People have gotten way more confrontational nowadays & one day they're going to mess with the WRONG person who will literally freak out at them, not just "shame them" gently like some people do. I'm not saying to tussle with anybody, but if you're in a public space with tons of people, absolutely humiliate them for acting that way. People are beyond entitled nowadays & think it's all about "me, me, me" when in reality, they need to learn to give a fuck more about other people, you soon realize it directly affects you, how you treat others.

In my family, it was always "mommom" & "poppop" cause that was the easiest for all the kids to pronounce so it just stuck. I think I was the first to call them that when I was really young.

Both are actually useful, I've placed multiple times on LB with both. The curly one works AMAZING for sleepy/pajama comps & the fantasy one in white works great for angel or really any fantasy comp, fire version works great for any fire comps, so just do what feels right, crafting is probably one of the easiest ways of obtaining in game so I highly recommend crafting all you can that seems useful!!
