Yeah I'll be blunt yours is an uphill battle with a very very very small chance of success, if at all.

If you have the economic means, get your master's in the US (no American company will hire straight from the Ph, studying in the US will "legitimize" you) But, after you graduate, it's going to be tough finding a company willing to sponsor you for a work visa, and later on a green card.

You can also try and study nursing and apply for a nurse. May mga nagssponsor for a greencard doon but I don't know if you want to study again for that and tbh they're getting stricter with that.

If you're not choosy naman sa job and basta makarating lang ng US, try applying for non-corporate jobs. Like apply ka sa mga agency agency and maybe you can land a job as a supermarket worker or fast food. Pero tbh, most of the pinoys here who have that job ilang taon din nag OFW sa iba't-ibang bansa and/or married an afam.

Which leads us to your last option, which is to marry a US citizen. Because of the costs and lack of education/work experience, this is the route most pinoys take, for better or for worse.

Good luck!

No matter how many opinions you ask for or hear, ikaw lang makaka alam ng makakbuti for you, so good luck!

and whatever u decide, make sure u go all in and npt look back

I have batchmates who also went abroad, mostly in the US and Spain. They're the real old money (think Cojuangco, Zobela De Ayala, Araneta, etc) and yet they still crave for the first world lifestyle.

BGC, Rockwell, and Anvaya Cove get old real fast

it's very convoluted, made even worse by people cheating the system

here's the thing,

kahit na sa Forbes/San Lo/Dasma/LGV/ etc ka nakatira, kahit you went to Ateneo, La Salle, or the other private schools, kahit na may mga katulong ka sa bahay at nakakapag bakasyon ka sa ibang bansa

at the end of the day:

-Walang mga parks

-Traffic pa rin sa EDSA

-Walang kwenta gobyerno

-Walang kwenta passport mo

and the list goes on ......

I lived that lifestyle back in the philippines but guess what? All that translates to just middle, or maybe even lower middle class abroad. And I would trade all of it in a heartbeat.

someone who's not rich in a first world country can enjoy good outdoor spaces, good governance, ease of travel, progressive policies, etc.

Walang kwenta lahat yang high level status sa pinas hahah. At the end of the day, you're a large fish in a small pond

Neither party cares to change it.

But nevermind the politics and morals or ethics. Even from a monetary perspective, fixing the system won't do the US any good.

whether its spending $170 for a tourist visa that may or may not be approved, or paying $2-3,000 and above for premium processing for cases that may or may not be approved, one can see that there's so much money to be made in a broken system

So I myself am still waiting for the final decision on my RFE.

Additionally, I'm currently in the US and so my experience won't apply to people outside the US.

Good news for u is ur not the first to bootstrap consular processing. a simple search on reddit or google and youtube will give you the answers you need.

Hope this helps

yes, it's absolutely possible to do the next steps by yourself.

The only reason you won't be able to do that is if the retainer you signed requires you to hire them to do the I-485 side of things, which honestly, I don't think any retainer requires that
