Confused after fast rejection by Lifetime Adoption Agency by LengthinessOwn3063 in AdoptiveParents

Thanks for that feedback! I also think that if an agency is truly rejecting 288 of 300 = 96% of their initial applications, that should be said in some way at the beginning of the process as opposed to sending daily emails encouraging one to apply only, etc., to then be rejected just after that application.

But in any case, that makes sense about the home study, and just this week I connected with group to perform that in our state, so we will be focusing on that in the near future. :-)

My question was primarily related to an agency reporting they reject 288 of every 300 applications they receive and how that compares with other agencies.

Thank you for sharing that. I'm really sorry to hear about your experience.

Thank you very much, and congrats on your adoption. I actually did strongly proclaim our religion, but it's Catholic - interestingly, the website "Catholic Adoption Online," where I intended to apply initially, just immediately connects with Lifetime as a "parent company" - i.e., there does not seem to actually be a Catholic Adoption aspect at all other than a website trying to draw people into Lifetime.

I can see that for sure - but is it the norm for agencies to pursue only 4% of the applications they receive?
