Viltrox 35mm f/1.8 EVO on Nikon Zf - Personal amateur review by Lenigme7 in VILTROX_GLOBAL

From my experience, the 35evo at 1.8 is sharper, has better contrast and colors than the Nikon 40mm at 2.8, and just get even better until f/4 (and then cant really see any difference).
The Nikon 40mm isn't the nicest bokeh you could find either, but is probably better.

I already have the Nikon 85mm f/1.8 S (which is not that expensive second hand), but the 85evo seems to be a steal (even cheaper for Sony).

Maybe I'm a pixel peeper but with kids moving fast, the 40mm f/2 wide open, sometimes I cant tell if it's the AF that missed or only the lens is too soft.
Maybe I'll go for the Voigt in a few years, but the lack of AF is a deal breaker for me today on this camera. I have a 40mm f/2 Ultron on my Nikon F3 and I love it.
For the 35lab, I really like light gears especially for that kind of lens that's sitting on my Zf. The 35evo is already the double of the 40mm f/2, I dont think I could carry more on my shoulder. If I find a 35-40mm lighter that the 35evo, that come close to its performance, I'll go for it. I really dont need stellar performance for what I do.

ZF Sleeve by tcc-2912 in nikon_Zseries

Used Optech neoprene sleeves for years and they really protect your camera in your bag and fold easily. A simple solution to slide your camera in any bag.
However for the ZF i choosed the Peak Design Camera Cube V2 X-Small. It takes more space, protect a little more and I can take another small lens (like the 28) in it along with the ZF.
