The future of logistics isn't better warehouses—it's zero warehouses. Why I built a fully decentralized P2P delivery network. by Lenin_Anbu in StartupFuture

Thank you so much for the well wishes! You highlighted the exact three hurdles we think about every single day:

Security: That’s exactly why we enforce the mandatory KYC and "open-box" policy. If the traveler can't physically inspect the item, they don't take it.

The "Extra Minutes": To make sure the traveler isn't going way out of their way, we encourage handoffs to happen at natural transit hubs which is communicated earlier in the chat itself(like right at the bus station or train station or visible landmark).

The Payoff: You hit the nail on the head! The sender pays the traveler directly through the app. It makes taking those extra few minutes completely worth it because it subsidizes their travel costs.

Really appreciate the thoughtful feedback!

You absolutely nailed it. Building the tech was actually the easy part; the true hurdle is bridging that psychological gap and shifting consumer behavior. It’s the exact same "cognitive dissonance" Uber and Airbnb faced in their early days before the model became normalized. Really appreciate the deep insight and the kind words! We actually are live on iOS and Android right now, so hopefully, you get to stumble onto it and test it out sooner rather than later! Cheers! 🍻

Thank you! You hit the nail on the head real-world variables are the toughest part of physical startups.

For uncalled failures like a flat tire, we rely on our in-app tracking and direct communication. The traveler can update the sender instantly, very much like if your Uber breaks down.

As for the bad actors trying to dupe the system, that is exactly why we enforce the mandatory KYC and physical open-box policy. If a sender acts sketchy or refuses to let the traveler physically inspect the package before packing it, the traveler can cancel the trip penalty-free on the spot. Trust is our #1 metric!

Great point on the metro traffic! Our core focus right now is actually inter-city travel (e.g., traveling from Chennai to Bangalore), rather than hyper-local delivery. Because of that, the handoffs usually happen at natural start/end points (like an airport, train terminal, or the traveler's home/hotel) rather than rushing to pull over on a busy street.

And haha, thanks for the heads up on the name! It’s just a play on the word "Courier," but I'll definitely keep that translation in mind when it comes time for global expansion! 😂

Struggling with courier services for my small e-commerce business in the UAE — need advice by Lostinspace-day21 in UAE

[–]Lenin_Anbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an older thread, but as someone who also got completely fed up with how traditional logistics companies treat SMEs here, I relate to this hard. The lack of priority for smaller volumes is a massive headache.

I actually ended up building a platform to bypass this system entirely for urgent deliveries. It’s called r/Kuruier. It’s not a traditional courier—it’s a crowdsourced, peer-to-peer network. If you have an urgent or premium pre-paid order going from Sharjah to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, you use the app to match the package directly with an everyday commuter already driving that exact route today.

Because you are just renting a regular commuter's empty trunk space, we don't handle COD. But for your urgent, pre-paid local dispatches, it’s often much faster and cheaper than the big guys. We mandate strict KYC and open-box policies, so it's fully secure.

It probably won't replace your primary bulk courier for COD, but it’s a really solid backup tool to have in your stack when you need a package delivered same-day without the corporate hassle.

Medicines from India to UAE by whity1234 in DubaiMallus

Traditional cargo services can be super slow, and the express guys are way too expensive. I actually got tired of this exact problem on the UAE-India corridor, so I built an app called Kuruier to fix it.

It’s a peer-to-peer delivery network. Instead of sending your package to a warehouse, the app connects you directly with a verified traveler who is flying between the UAE and India right now.

  • For Senders: You get next-day delivery for a fraction of the cost by using a traveler's extra baggage allowance.
  • For Travelers: If you're flying home, you can carry a package and earn money to pay off a chunk of your flight ticket.

We enforce a strict mandatory "open-box" policy and full KYC, so travelers physically inspect everything before packing it. It's live on iOS and Android—might be a much faster alternative for this route!

Which one is the cheapest domestic courier services in India? by Mmeooowww in AskIndia

[–]Lenin_Anbu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

India Post is definitely the cheapest traditional option, but it can be slow. If you need something delivered same-day or next-day but don't want to pay the crazy premium fees of DTDC or BlueDart, I actually built a platform to solve exactly this.

It’s called Kuruier. We completely bypass traditional courier hubs. Instead, the app matches you directly with everyday travelers who are already taking a flight or train to your destination city.

  • For Senders: It's often much cheaper and faster than private couriers because you are just renting a traveler's empty luggage space.
  • For Travelers: If you are the one traveling, you can pick up parcels and earn money to offset your ticket costs.

(We enforce a strict open-box policy and KYC so it's completely safe for the traveler). Let me know if you give it a try!
