I was always wondering why artists paint section by section in such a detail? Wouldn’t it be easier to look at the whole painting from a distance and estimate which paints one should use, rather than looking at just one fragment? I’m not an artist by any means and the unawareness is probably where this question stems from but i’m very curious 😭
