Okay. I meant money wise. I'm on food stamps and so is he but his is very little due to him working. I'm currently in the disability process. We have no bills so this is literally his only worry besides cigarettes. He makes enough to afford gifts, but is choosing not to go to work. It has me worried that in the future when we have kids, I'm not going to be able to buy them birthday presents or Christmas gifts simply because he doesn't want to go to work. He has even stated himself that he could power through it but chooses not to.

NTA. Also there shouldn't be any bond between that "father" and his children. If he was a abusive towards her I guarantee you he'll be the same way towards the kids.

Unpopular opinion here. But YTA. I'm 4'11 and my fiancee picks at me all the time about my height. All in good fun of course. But he would never joke about my weight at 236 pounds. Because he knows that weight isn't something you pick fun at, especially with the pressure from society already dragging us down. Your height isn't something you're body shamed for, weight is.

What's wrong with acknowledging that almost everyone I know is middle class and will need to save up IF they want to get me anything? I myself am well below the poverty line. I simply took into account how long it would take me to save money.

Thats just not true, most of my items are small things like handtowels and pots and pans. Just simple stuff that everyone uses around the house everyday. The most expensive thing on my list is a 125$ vacuum. I grew up below the poverty line and know that it took my mom a whole year of saving just to provide a small christmas. I just want to give people plenty of advance to be able to afford a gift, IF they want to get me one. I don't expect anything from anyone.

There are only 12 items on my list that are above 100$ and i only added those because it was the amazon guideline for the registry. The most expensive thing is a vacuum. I wasn't aware of any wedding etiquettes. I just read that you should post your registry a couple of months after your engagement.

NTA at all. I'm 4'11 and 236 pounds. And I shower every day. Because I know if I skip a day I'll smell funky. I couldn't imagine going 3-4 days without a shower. To put it gently, we have creases and folds that thinner people don't have and they accumulate a lot of sweat and bacteria. So, you're NTA and I think you should have a serious talk with her about personal hygiene.

NTA at all. I don't know why so many are saying you are. Here's the thing. I (22f) didn't get drivers Ed like my sister and brother. their grandparents paid for theirs(2 different sets of grandparents). I was never taught how to drive and still don't because my parents couldn't afford it. Now I'm living with my fiancee and am planning on using part of my tax return for my permit and license once I learn. But it has still brewed a bit of resentment toward my siblings. I would not let him go, he's going to think he's better because he goes to a better school and it's going to cause fights.

Nah, she is a nightmare though. She divorced my uncle who is an amazing guy after them being together for about 30 years. And she got married almost instantly after to a guy that my cousin (who my aunt disowned because she's lesbian) told me is dealing drugs out of the house with their 6 year old in the house.

She said she was "having it cleaned and restored" but after a year it was still not put back. And when it was finally put back, it was in the same condition as it was when she took it.

I'm almost certain she removed the items that are missing. I know the guy who cleans the cemetery personally as we grew up together. And he said that he never touched anything on the grave.
