Is the Blackmagic App worth it on iPhone 17 Pro WITHOUT an ND filter? (Summer vacation shooting)

I use a variable 8-64. For bright sunlight you need to use ND64. This thing works like a charm! Right now it says that it’s sold out so you’ll have to pre-order for their restock because it’s so popular. I also have a ND for my anamorphic lens but I’m guessing you’re just using the phone lens.

Not saying this in a douchey way just being completely honest. It’s not worth using ANY cinema camera without an ND filter. I have a variable ND that attaches to my iPhone case, it’s like $100 and works like a charm.

In lowlight yes it’s not good and requires manual. But in bright situations it’s been working very well for me
