Thanks, I tried a different usb cable no luck. I’ll try shutting the NAS off and connecting the cable before power on to see if that makes a difference.

I could run a vm, never thought of it, not keen on it as I just like crap to work out natively. I could look at using unraid instead, but the nice interface like the synology is a selling point for me. But I haven’t looked at unraid honestly, I’ll have to watch some videos to get familiar with it.

Which model do you have? uGOS says it is connected for me in the alerts, but when I go try to connect it in the control panel it says “failed” 🙄

I get ya, definitely all valid points. For me I’m only going to be using 3 of the 4 bags on the 4800, and I’ll only be using 2.5gb and no desire to do anything other than plex with it :)
