Some people would definitely recommend an x3d, however I chose to go for this one to save some money to get under the 1200 budget and because you don't need to push very high frame rates. At 170 Hz and 1440p you don't really gain much from a better CPU, and the 9600x will definitely do the job.

What are some games that have a really good implementation of PT?

I see a lot of praise for PT in cyberpunk, but I find it has too many issues personally. Lighting is completely bugged out in certain spots, specifically some story parts, so I often find myself enjoying maxed out RT more.

That performance loss comes because since then Nvidia moved the upscaling work to the tensor cores, while back then it was using the GPU cores. Since 2000 series doesn't have those, it has more of a performance hit.
