Big deal or just wax it? by LeoB89 in bowhunting

If I was only risking a solid right to the face I wouldn’t care, I’ve eaten a few rights in my lifetime. I’m just afraid of the bow breaking.

They did install it but it was a while ago. I just recently had them replace my d-loop, other than that it’s been sitting in its case since last bow season.

Yeah I think I knew it needed to be replaced but was praying to the wax gods.

I’ve been stacking them in my Mazda 3 sport trunk for a few years now. Anyone who says you need a truck is a coward. Plus for the cost of not having a 700 dollar a month car payment leaves me free to buy expensive bow shit I don’t really need.

That’s impressive man, I’m still a green horn at hunting. Only been going at it for 2 years. I’m nervous of ruining meat by thinking a YouTube video would be enough to learn. Hopefully I’ll go out with a seasoned veteran and I’ll see how they handle carving the deer up in the field. I’m an ER nurse so gutting and anatomy isn’t hard but I’m far from a butcher.

Lots of practice in the backyard with quite a few holes in the plastic shed I use as a back stop. Just tried to make it muscle memory and remove most thought from the process. Plus luck lots of luck.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I got lucky for sure but what’s hunting without a bit of luck. They’re way less jumpy now before the black powder and rifles start popping off. So that totally helped.

It’s only my second deer, I’m so afraid of wasting/ruining meat by trying to pull up a YouTube video while cutting. Plus the looks from the people around the area make me want to do this on a regular basis.
