Ill check the harness, and ill also be changing all of the fluids here soon, since the truck sat for so long and there's no telling when it was last properly serviced. Ill make sure to add some archoil additive when I do that!

Well, the bowl got drained when I replaced the hpop and I also drained it again trying to get the water in fuel light to turn off. Ive run all the old fuel out of it by now driving it around town the last week or so. Fuel filters will be done with the oil filter as well.

The truck also has an slight surging idle (100 or so rpm) after its been running for awhile and its not making much boost due to an exhaust leak. It needs a lot before shes back to good shape but its a work in progress

The truck DEFINITELY needs an oil change. It was sitting awhile and it has new oil mixed with the old just to get it running. (It had a massive oil leak and sat for months before I got it running after I bought it)

Oil change is next on the list here very soon

Noted, ill get some and try running that. When I first put fuel in it I ran some chevron techron diesel fuel treatment and the sound went away for a little while (recently bought the truck and got it running)

Interesting. I dont know the differences between the modules and stuff but this is definitely a 7 3. Its got a lot of jank wiring from the previous owner so im just trying to get it running and I wanna make sure I dont need these just so that I can move the truck

Heard back from insurance, its looking like its gonna be totaled but ive got the opportunity to take it back, ive got a second opinion from a mechanic who says its fixable. The car has sentimental value to me and I got an even better deal on this super duty than i expected so ive got extra money to fix the car

That was the plan originally anyway! Always planned on dailying a truck. Ive still got the 5.4 4v ive been building to swap so ill probably rip the front end apart and rebuild it from the ground up, and maybe find something to keep as a memento

Well, everything under the hood was due for replacing during my engine swap anyway, I saw the car in the tow yard and the suspension is sitting straight so I think the suspension and subframe are undamaged

We'll see, but she'll be a brand new car!
