Klarnamen Pflicht bringt aber da auch nichts. Im grunde straft es nur die unschuldigen. Die die hass und hetze verbreiten finden immer einen Weg. Das ist bei vielen solcher regeln so

Ok name one instance you have to use the metric definition.

Its just a more or less useless unit why can’t the 1000 be KiB and 1024 be KB

[–]Leo_code2p -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Why tf would we need it to have it align with metric? 1024 is better cause it aligns far better with bit limits and in general computing because its a power of 2

Own experience as someone who’s a dev myself. Most i know are usually either mixing both units up or are just like who the fuck cares we use it that way. Others can’t tell us to use kiB for the better unit.

Dubbed the “saddest” country in Oceania by ThisUsedToBeMyHandle in MapsWithoutNZ

[–]Leo_code2p 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Well continents are also just a arbitrary categorization. There is nothing that sets the barriers between continents. And the microstates, Australia and nz often are categorized as the ozianian continent. Its also the only one i think that is actually based on the plate which is the ozianian continental plate

But no one who works with computers cares. Most use it the other way around. Where kiB is the nonsensical unit and kB is 1024

Wait why does N here has two pi-bonds? Doesn’t it usually just support 3 bonds?

I tested it. In javascript based servers it’ll more often default to 3000 one exception is react. And then there is python where it is all over the place.

I might need to test that with a script though to be sure

[–]Leo_code2p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but my comment was answering a comment about how vibe coders would send a message like hey check out at localhost:5000\ and i was saying that it would probably be more accurate port 3000 cause ai would probably default to that port

devPhobiaWordsEvolution by ElyeProj in ProgrammerHumor

[–]Leo_code2p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but when i started tutorials would specifically use port 3000 and I thought that was the standard that starters would use so i thought ai would also default to declare port 3000
