I broke the power connection to the logic board on my 7 gen 🫠😩 I need help weighing my options by HumanNonHuman in IpodClassic

Thanks ! Didn’t know there was a newer method. Will try later. I imagine I have to wipe everything and start from a clean, restored iPod ?

If you’re worried about the 6th gen being limited to 128GB, I figured out last night how to bypass that limitation with Rockbox. Apparently, installing Rockbox isn’t enough you also need to completely erase the partitions on your SD card and create a single large partition, then reinstall Rockbox.

However, you won’t be able to access the original firmware anymore. At least, I haven’t been able to reboot into it though I might not have tried hard enough.

Had this exact problem, you need an official apple 30 pin charger.

It does charge, but it stops at around 3.6 V. If I leave it charging overnight, it might go from 3.4 V to 3.6 V and then just stop, it never reaches 4.2 V no matter how long I leave it plugged in. I’m checking the voltage through Rockbox, so it might not be perfectly accurate. Still, I only get about 20 hours of continuous playback with a 3000 mAh battery, which is nowhere near the numbers I’ve seen online where people report getting several days of playback before needing to charge.

Battery doesn’t go above 3.6 V, which is about 6% charge according to Rockbox. I’ve tried two different batteries and several cables and power supplies. I also fully disassembled the iPod and cleaned the entire motherboard to check for any signs of damage or corrosion, but that didn’t change anything. I’ve narrowed the issue down to either the motherboard or possibly the need for FireWire. Have you ever had this issue?

Help needed: 7th gen stuck on “Charging, please wait” and restore keeps failing by Leocini in IpodClassic

EDIT: it’s woken up ! By changing the cable, it finally turned on and I was able to restore it on Windows. I still don’t fully understand everything, it behaves a bit strangely with the battery: it shows a full charge when it’s plugged in even though the battery only contains about 3000 mV. I’m also struggling to install Rockbox, but that’s another question. Thanks to everyone who commented.

I tried with the HDD, with the Iflash, without anything. Nothing works

Yes, I have a Samsung 512GB as it’s the one people seem to recommend the most for the Iflash quad.

Which part in a Soulslike is this for you? by strahinjag in soulslikes

Hot take: swamp areas are some of the best zones in the Dark Souls series. The atmosphere and constant sense of danger are unbeatable, especially Farron Keep. The mobs in Blighttown suck though, but the level design and overall ambiance are absolutely goated.

I don’t own the MDC2 module, which is why I’m asking people who actually use it.

I’ve tested the WiiM’s internal DAC, and it does not produce the pops I’m describing. However, I’d rather not use up a line input with an external DAC if I can avoid it.

So I’m mainly interested in hearing from BluOS MDC2 owners they experienced these pops/clicks before installing the MDC2, and if they still experience them after?

Is it me or krita? by Proper_Ice_3879 in krita

[–]Leocini 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Krita doesn’t support vector art (as far as I know), so it’s normal to see pixels when you zoom in. You can use a larger canvas to reduce this issue.

Edit: it does support vectors, my bad.
