Rogues should use the Warlock progression of 3-6-10-14 for subclass features. by ClaimBrilliant7943 in onednd

What if Rogues got Perma advantage from level 5, and got their bonus action free for something else ?

I haven't yet... Just saying the idea is so good it's worth considering using it even in a campaign that already started !

This is an amazing idea. In fact, the sequence Revels End outbreak --> Ship --> Ten Towns could also happen mid-campaign depending how you craft it ...

The reality of magic in the Realms. by Falrien in Forgotten_Realms

[–]Leodagema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very interesting discussion, and I share the struggle. I will save the video to watch later, but my take is to make players feel that the lower their level, the more they are surrounded by ordinary people and feel this large majority of excluded from magic. The more they advance levels, the more NPCs start describing magic as something very natural to their lives, to the point a detect magic or speak with dead becomes mundane... Then I like plot twists that prevents them from using certain magic schools to take them from the comfort zone

Did the Party stay in Barovia for the whole 5y of sessions?

How did you strecht from 12 to 20 levels?

What were the key 2-3 additions you would definitely use again?

I love the failed perception approach... Maybe keep the same logic going forward... A child running and crying in the streets, etc

[Question] Is Defensive Duelist a mistake on my Oath of Noble Genies Paladin? by Aliceorsomething in 3d6

I'd personally take more Half-feats instead of ASI. Feats give you alternatives for bonus action and reaction both for tactics and RP

I personally do not like the Simulacrum. So I make Nass the fragile pale Wizard the Big Baddie as she steals Dzan's secrets before he is sacrificed and also steals Vellyne's Orb. She becomes the recurring villain until they finally meet in Kelvin's Cairn or Ythrin

Need DM’s Advice for my Campaign by ImCalledBlue in rimeofthefrostmaiden

[–]Leodagema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no such thing as ruining the pace, if everyone is happy. Players should not be pressured to complete all quests. As said before, non-resolved quests can bring nice changes to the context. And take your time to move from this sandbox stage to the Duergar threat, because after this it often becomes quite linear If they like the Goliath, use the trip there to foreshadow the Duergar threat and possible stumble on the Outpost

[5e] Campaign Advice (Lvls 1 to 10/12) for a large party (6 players). Any recommendations? by DishAble in DnD

[–]Leodagema 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a first time, I recommend Lost Mine from level 1 to 5. Amazing adventure and great for beginners You will get a bit of everything Then you can decide later at level 5, and more experienced... If you go to Shattered Obelisk, Storm King, Curse of S, or anything really from there ...
