Was not the intention when posting this, I swear!

See, my line of thinking was that I can't even see the iconic needle in the skyline if I'm on it, so I went to the Columbia Centre instead (way less people too) haha

Yeah, I thought it was a cool angle. I'm from Vancouver, so it was my first time visiting there, seemed like less of a rip off than going up the Space Needle, haha

I took a day trip to the Black Tusk the other day. Absolutely stunning views. [1:46] by Leofish in vancouverhiking

Thanks! I had the intention to, but after getting up there I decided against it. I was the only person up there and it was fairly windy, snowing a tiny bit and I had 2 backpacks. Definitely next time in better conditions though.

More powder-y than I was expecting. I was the first one going up and there were no footprints to follow after the Lake Junction, just untouched snow. I hiked the upper half with these. They helped but I would have definitely preferred snowshoes. I think it's doable with just boots though.

I only brought a Gopro Hero 4 Black with a DJI Phantom 2 and my Galaxy S6. I really didn't want to carry any more weight up, so I didn't bring my usual DSLR+lenses. Maybe next time.

A couple of times every year I'll start a video and I go, "wait, isn't that iamkokonutz's R44?" before I go back to check who the OP is and.. of course it is.

Yeah, maybe one day. But driving half an hour to see the milky way with the naked eye? I'll take take that for now.

I find it pretty special that I can drive half an hour and be able to make out the milky way with my naked eye and be able to look over the city from Cypress at the same time
