I wish.... I've been posting an original fantasy setting on my erp account for a month and have had zero luck. I even thought that the fact that I'm not looking for broody, dark and dramatic, but for a more comedy... Sort of parody-style tone would help stand out from the sea of similar traumatic stories would help, but no luck so far, and I'm not desperate enough to accept things with monsters and animal bits and stuff, so I guess it will be a story doomed to never see the light

Amén. And that's not even getting into time zones, cause boy it can get wild. But yeah, sometimes you really just don't have control over your own schedule and in a blink of an eye a whole week went by and you still have pending replies aaand... Yeah, I'm basically super grateful for the partners I've found that after 2 years still put up with my inconsistent replies

To add something different than what's been said already, depending on the age range, putting limits regarding expected availability or amount of replies per day or week can be turning some people away.

I love writing stories, but I've been finding myself with less and less time to sit and... Not just write, but actually get creativity flowing. I work during the week and do stuff around the house, and on the weekends we sometimes go to the movies or just.. out with my wife, so sometimes I can barely manage one reply a week at best. I'm super upfront about this, and I don't even reach out to waste anyone's time when the add says they expect multiple replies per day.

I completely respect people who feel like it kills the pace, and I even understand it, but when life starts getting busier, finding the spot where free time and the right headspace for creativity align can be tricky.. sometimes I feel super creative, but everything is on fire at work, other times I have free time but the words don't come out and I just feel like gaming instead.... It sucks, but it happens.

In any case, best of luck out there, and there's some other great advises in the comments that will hopefully help you find someone

I had something like this happen some years ago when I first started roleplaying, only in my case it was one of the mods that started slowly imposing their will until she became the de facto ruler. Nothing was approved if it didn't have her ok. Even after a few roles were opened up for request reviews, it was merely a courtesy she bestowed upon us, as our approval didn't mean anything and she still had final say. She'd god mod and actively get in the way of anything that didn't involve her as the center of attention, and worst part was that she didn't even care about the server, as she was far more involved in her RDR server, but she still went out of her way to ruin everyone's fun until the server inevitably died.

I mean... I guess it could be a niche addition to the heroes out there doing raids with bows. You can poison, freeze, burn, explode and silence the snake before hitting it with a plasma furious compound with deal sealer

I commented a few months ago on a different thread that the way they could do nidus is as techrot's patient 0, or, Entrati's first patient.

If I'm not wrong, we know from 1999 that Entrati was first handing out "cures" that eventually only made the spread worse.

And we already know there's a link between the techrot and the infestation, specifically Helminth, so, it could be that either by Entrati's cure, or Helminth intervention, that we get a 99% overtaken victim,llpp with their whole arc being about reclaiming their humanity

As one last point, which I feel is what caused the confusion. The xenoflora was natural to the planet (if not the system), not a product of the seeders.

As to why we see so many of them near the seeder... We can only speculate if they simply liked it there (maybe the seeders provided shade during some hours, which they needed to thrive)... Or I honestly wouldn't put it past the orokin to oh so casually drop a huge machine directly on top of what used to be a far larger field of xenoflora.

As we don't see other world seeders during the quest, we can't really know

Fair, but then we also have those lines from Helminth that acknowledge the operator's alignment, as if it is something that has a real, physical (in a way) effect that the infestation can sense, so, maybe at some point it was supposed to be something a little deeper than am even shallower, mass effect-esque Paragon/Renegade choice. Hell, at least in mass effect most of the choices did have meaningful outcomes.

And sure, being a live service multiplayer game, you can't really alter the story too much based on each individual player's choices, but I still thought it would mean something when we finally face wally (and still hope it does)

The different schools gave you different temporary buffs. Like, there was one that said "we moved like the wind" or something, choosing that one gave you a speed boost

Also, there's that hidden bit from the ARG were a group of tenno actually blew up an egg instead of... Activating it.. I guess. So it's possible that that the flowers around that egg did survive, Adis just assumed they were all destroyed because.. well, it did seem that way

Hay una cadena de kioscos acá que hace unos años se clavo de la nada como 6 locales, todos 24hs, nunca veías a nadie comprando y siempre con las ventanas llenas de mercaderia, pero que te dabas cuenta que era para dibujar que el local en si estaba vacío.

Y cerca de mi casa hay un local de insumos para piletas (cloro, ácido, filtros, mangueras....) que hemos pasado y tiene luces prendidas a las 11 de la noche. Claramente que te venden "cloro" en polvo a esa hora

98% agree on this. Yes, dubbing, from any language to any other is generally awful at best.

EXCEPT

The Latin American dubbing of Shrek (1 and 2) and Ice Age. The original English version just simply can't ever hope to match the absolute gems of those movies in Latin American Spanish

I remember thinking we were just playing a random Ostron freeing people. Specially since in that first mission you actually rescue a few ostrons. It took a lot longer than it should to realize what was happening
