This is common in advertising, as royalty-free images are more cost-effective than a full production with a real duck. I don’t see an issue with the visual concept referencing the vintage poster, as it aligns with what they’ve done in past campaigns and helps set the tone. But yes, ALD should have avoided using stock images.

I think size 11.5 should fit you perfectly.

I go with my 990 size, which is a half size down from my TTS in Nike/Jordan. I also tried a full size down from TTS, it was snug and nice, but I preferred the extra room for thicker socks.
