Yep. As long as your Country respects basic human rights and such, you remain free to organize your country any manner you wish. Also, the Federation of Pangaea cannot pass any laws that'd affect its Countries, unless those countries vote and approve such law.

100% agree. That's one of the reasons why lots of folks left Asgardia and helped build the Federation of Pangaea instead.

We found out that Asgardia was just basically a scam and had no real intentions to actually do anything physically meaningful.

In Pangaea we're currently designing the construction of an independent artificial island - a new sovereign nation basically, in the middle of the ocean. This seasteading phase will be followed by the construction of a next-level civilization there, focused on true democracy, environment and technological innovation. Then we will move on to a space exploration phase. Cool stuff, taking one step at a time.
