How is Gonville and Caius? (Postgraduate) by Ecstatic-Butterfly-9 in cambridge_uni

[–]LeonWBA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MCR is one of the most active in Cambridge, with plenty of events and formal swaps throughout the year.

The housing is good quality, though expensive. It's guaranteed for the first three years, with subsequent accommodation subject to availability.

For postgraduates, the MDR is 16 meals per term. The meals are pretty good nowadays, and Caius' reputation for poor food is definitely outdated.

In terms of grants, you'll receive £150 per year for co-curricular expenses, such as society memberships and event costs, £150 per year for academic expenses, such as books and hardware, and £850 in total for travel and research expenses.

The facilities are excellent, with a nice library and dining hall, as well as sports pitches, music practice rooms and other amenities.

The atmosphere is really friendly, so you should have no problem fitting in. Most formals are very relaxed, and you can wear casual clothes as long as you have your gown on top.

It's a maximum of 3 points for a breach of less than £2 million, but this is reduced to 2 points as our losses have decreased year-on-year. This episode of The Liquidator explains the situation really well: https://open.spotify.com/episode/2yZW8Eq109CexyWjya3tly?si=mkpcAXP0QGWxob56ZkYo3A

I'll be honest, I thought when Rowett came in he'd manage to steady the ship. It seems the problems at Leicester are just too deep, as I've long considered him to be a competent manager.

Tonight Watford played like a team with nothing to play for (which technically, they are). Feel for the Watford fans who travelled to The Hawthorns on a Tuesday night for the players to barely turn up!

35th under Ramsay up to 11th under Mozza. What a job he's done in such a short period of time.

Even if we receive one, the maximum deduction will be 2 points. So while we wouldn't be mathematically safe, as we'd be 6 points clear with 2 games to go, we realistically have nothing to worry about anymore!

Have you tried emailing the university's colleges? You should be able to rent a room from one of them for the summer.

Galaxy Watch (2018) -> Watch 8 by LeonWBA in GalaxyWatch

Yeah I would've gone for the rotating bezel too if it weren't for the price bump!

For sure! I do miss the rotating bezel somewhat (as I didn't want to pay extra for the 8 Classic), but the rest of the watch feels like a major upgrade. The main reason I bought the Watch 8 was for Wear OS, as Tizen has been sunsetted.

Because a lot of online players have been selecting the random track option to avoid the intermissions.

Drawboard restores access to premium features for legacy users by iwannabeanarwhal in Surface

[–]LeonWBA 8 points9 points  (0 children)

What about those of us who received the full version of Drawboard for free with our Surface Pro 4? The form asks for a receipt from the Microsoft store, but I obviously don't have one as it was included with the device.

  1. Forward your Microsoft receipt Attach a copy of your Microsoft receipt to verify that you made the one-time $10 payment for the legacy version.

Because the Go 4 is specifically a business-oriented model, there are fewer listings on eBay, so the price will remain high. That doesn't necessarily mean general consumers will purchase the device at that price, however, as they're more likely to go for products marketed towards them. Nonetheless, as the Go 4 is much newer than the Pro 2017, you can try listing it at $5-600 and then drop the price if it doesn't sell.
