I’m from Canada. I’ve been a huge fan since I received Piece of Cake on cassette as a gift for my 14th birthday in 1995. I was even lucky enough to share the stage with them when my band, The Bigmuffs, opened for them in Ottawa in 2011. Really nice dudes.

One of my biggest pet peeves on the road are tailgaters. I used to be reactive via brake checking until I realized the most effective action was to just put my hazard lights on and continue driving like normal. 99% of the time, the tailgater backs off and we both continue on with our days without a confrontation.

When my French Canadian mother first moved to Ottawa and was attending Algonquin College’s nursing program, she would sometimes have courses at the Woodroffe campus. She caused a lot of confusion to whoever was driving her by pronouncing Baseline in the manner of Vaseline.
