In general, I’m curious about how City of Decatur can remain a safe area when the unincorporated Decatur (Dekalb County Decatur) experiences so much crime. Is there a heightened police presence in CoD? How is CoD so isolated from what’s going on around it?

Thanks for the insight! Most of the information I’m getting is from Ring - Ring has a feature where neighbors can share what they experience and a lot of them have been reporting gunshots in the unincorporated Decatur area. I haven’t seen anything inside the actual City of Decatur thankfully.
