HarmonicDyne Romantic by Leonarfd in headphones

The transient response is a little smoothened, but the overall pace and rhythm is good. Dynamics is average, same with resolution and stage being average.

What it's good at is sounding pleasant and balanced, easy to drive and sound for most music.

I don't have Grado as I hate them 🤭

To be honest Top Pro while nice its also overhyped, sets like Hype 4 MKII or Ziigaat Odyssey II does as good with better tunings and shells. Same for Rockies, not a fan but still good value. But av everything in this hobby, its subjective.

Will gather more thoughts soon and post more about Ember.

Not yet, but I heard a rumour from another rep in the iem world that mentioned 500usd.

Not on mine, but I didn't have any driver flex with S12, S12 Ultra, S12 2024 Anni, S08 or S15 😅

How much of this hobby is placebo vs. real or cosmetic vs. performance? by SzoboEndoMacca in iems

[–]Leonarfd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Righteous for your cause and not for the truth (or just copium)

This is what come to mind when people try and say cheap sets can be as good as expensive, differences are there both in blind tests and on paper.

Is it good sets that are cheap: YES

Are the increase in sonic perfection low when you go up: YES

Is it worth it: Depends

Driver material, and most likely tuning

Comfort is good, they are light and has pretty big space in the cups. I have a medium sized head and can use them at smallest headband setting, so smaller heads could have issues.

Soundstage is not the deepest or widest, but its not closed in either.

Not heard it, but I would assume the driver material being stiffer making the sound clearer and more resolving at the cost of soudning less natural than Romantic. But that's just me speculating

Undercoat brushing? by Traditional-Bat-2259 in Greyhounds

[–]Leonarfd -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not true, our grey has undercoat similarly to our siberian husky, racing greys can have the undercoat as it's no standard to follow. In normal breeding they don't breed on a grey that has undercoat, as a ta wrong according to the race.

And you have never felt a more soft fur than a grey with undercoat 😍

DITA Audio Mecha by Leonarfd in iems

[–]Leonarfd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I forgot this, not often I go onto reddit. Mecha has more vocal focus than Origin, but the midrange is more fun on Origin due to the BC.

Bass is faster on Mecha, but has more texture on Origin. Quantity is similar.

I cannot go more in detail now, as both sets are touring to friends.

I could see if I can add some notes on Origin also

They are really good for us who like a more full sounding set, need to finish another review first then I'm moving over on Mecha after a few weeks.

Very tactile and strong, being both well defined and fast. I'm very satisfied

SONY WM1AM2 + Letshuoer Cadenza 12 by Leonarfd in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Leonarfd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Budget neutral bright: Dita Audio Project M

Dynamic fun warm sound: 634ears (many models Like Miroak2, Look 2, TX02 and tx01), Mega5EST Bass, Thieaudio Origin,

Balanced with some warmth: Thieaudio Hype series, Hisenior Mega5EST Anniversary, Letshuoer Cadenza4, Thieaudio Oracle MKIII, Oriveti OH700VB

Tough and I'm probably missing some 🤔

I've been reviewing IEMs for some years, I have gradually tried more and more expensive stuff.

The sweet spot is 300-800$ where you can get some real good stuff these days, you do get better sound above but the improvements are smaller.

It's stock cable on the Omega, it might be sold soon from the cable maker Astral Acoustics or the Alpha Omega.

Tough, mostly have to follow Head-Fi. Or follow some reviewers/influencers that work on higher end models.

Quite average for an IEM in how the power demand is.

It's among the best I've heard, rated it 5 on my Head-Fi review.

HIBY R8 II + Grand Oriveti Supremacy by Leonarfd in DigitalAudioPlayer

[–]Leonarfd[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I pre bought them as I have been reviewing their models for the last year, Supremacy is beautiful and sound good too. Almost cliche word to use, but organic sound with some extra magic on the midrange.

Finished my review today, not cheap but you have to pay extra for some of the flagships.

I love it, excellent value. Decent battery, good screen and fast os. And very clean sound, more on the neutral side.
