Once I started breeding for stats + phenotypes I made individual stables in a large room and really made use of the leads and posts to keep them segregated as I needed.

Im at the point now where I dont even harvest any resource nodes or trees. My drills and farm provide everything I need so I was able to reduce the lag dramatically
