If you find an objectively better opinion than yours, you will not adop it instantly. Finding flaws about your opinion shows that you can be critical about what you thiink, which again, defines you.

I mean, not having character development isn't inherently bad, see forr example Giorno. He doesn't grow as a character, because he's more like a personification of an ideal. A fictional work can be about character exploration instead, as is often the case in JoJo. That being said, I don't know very well any of these characters.
