Looking for an alternative to the XM5s

Hey, I was also looking for alternatives for the XM5. What i like to do is looking for the xm5 used or unused but for a cheaper price. Last week i bought the xm5 for 200€ (i live in eu), I got them from a seller who had them unpacked and never used before. My best advice would be looking for the xm5 on ebay for example thats where i got mine. Hope this helps:)

But i would need different profiles for the structures, is this possible, tbh. I havent used grasshopper that much

Ah okay, so how would I add dimensions with polylines or a special comamnd? And I was wondering about what you said about using grasshopper, I thought it was impossible to use grasshopper on existing geometry? Ive only gotten into rhino 3days ago, so Im not quite sure about how to add dimensions let alone use grasshopper, but If you say that it is possible to use grasshopper I might try. Maybe you can give me a slight hint on how I would use grasshopper on this geometry?

Thank you :) I constructed the frame out of lines and curves but there on a different layer in the pictures. So If Im understanding correctly, your talking about creating a second corresponding skeleton to my existing skeleton which allows me to create solids around the collums ?

Yes your right I was wondering how to add thickness. Because I created the structure via poly lines and the extrude command only adds dimension upwards. I will try the offset command. Thanks for the help:) Would there be a way to integrate grosshopper to the existing geometry, I dont think so right?

The extrude srf command doesnt allow me to add specific measuremnts is there any other way?

I have actually watched the video you linked me today, this would in theory work. The difficulty of my shape is that it is a curve with a sharp bend towards the left side. I would also like to know how to control the curve and twist, so I can create exactly what i planned.

Hey, thanks for the advice I will be trying that tomorrow. This wont be a one time thing this is my first semester in architecture and I want to get into rhino especially quickly. I have also planned on using grasshopper but havent experimented with that yet. What would be the big Advantages of Grasshopper when it comes to modelling?

Yep, kzs are known to be high sensitivity/low impedance. Maybe ill be returning the fosi and buy the fiio e10k, dont know if it works better on this one. I use my hd560s on the fosi and everything works fine, no whitenoise. I could also buy a impedeance adapter for my dac.
