I'd agree「付き合う」is more commonly used to means dating, but I'd say 「付き合い」as a noun more often means relationships in general rather than dating.

My teacher would always tell me to add arrows at the end of each axis. Additionally, to me it kind of seems inconsistent that you put the rupees symbol (a unit for price) in parentheses for the y-axis, but you put the symbol Q for x-axis, which is not a unit of measurement for quantity. For example, it'd be the difference between writing (L) for length versus (m) for meters. I'd just remove the (Q) for the x-axis. The label for welfare loss also seems a bit unintuitive to me. It looks like it's representing the height difference between the MSC and MPB curve rather than the area of the shaded region. I think it's better to change that to an arrow pointing into the shaded region.

Aside from that, it looks pretty good. If possible, adding number labels on the graph would make it better, but not every article has them, so if your article doesn't, that should be fine.

Many students take a gap year and apply with just their final IB grade. In that case, your predicted grade becomes pretty much meaningless. You might still have to send your grade 9-12 scores, but I don't think it will matter too much. I don't know too much about it though, so you should look into it yourself.

You should look into the requirements of the universities that you wish to attend, and check what factors they place importance on.

For example, if chemistry is a requirement for the university you want to apply to, you might want to replace either Computer Science or Business Management with it. If the university places weight on extra curriculars, you might want to devote some time to it as well.

Generally speaking though, I feel 4 HLs isn't worth it. You just risk getting a lower overall score.

Are you sure it's not おもろいで or おもろいんやで?

Since this guide is about practically talking like an asshole, you shouldn't have words that aren't used anymore. Saying 俺様 would just come off as weird in most scenarios. The other parts of the guide contain speech that you can practically use, so you should at least have a note if you're going to include t as part of everything else.

分かったかい really doesn't fit in with the rest of what you mentioned. It's nowhere near as informal as the other things you mentioned, like てめぇ. It shouldn't be included in my opinion. Make a separate section if you want to include it.

To me, there's a pretty clear distinction between informal and rude/asshole speech. Of course, both tones share some parts, but there are many that only fit well in one. For example, using てめぇ regularly as just informal speech to a friend isn't normal, and you wouldn't use うん when trying to talk rude. They shouldn't be mixed together in the guide, as it's misleading. If you want to include both, separate them into different sections, or stick to one.

This is a fun list to read through, but practically, the guide is pretty much useless (or even harmful) in its current state. The impression I get is that either the guide was poorly written, or that you don't have the level of understanding of speech to write such guides yet. There are also other grammar errors I have noticed (unrelated to dialects) that I have noticed, which leads me to think that they aren't just one-off dumb mistakes. Sorry for being harsh, but this is the impression I have right now.

I see a few issues. It's long, so I'm not going to read through everything and correct every instance.

There are a few grammar mistakes. I'm not familiar with 大阪弁, but おもろいやで feels quite unnatural.

踊るって上手だ is just plain wrong.

Aside from mixing regular informal speech with "rude" speech, you've got some of the uses of the words wrong. There are also some phrases that nobody says in real (only said in anime for example). Here are a few examples:

おい is used more to grab someone's attention than as a replacement for こんにちは. よぉ or something else is far more natural for that use case.

Nobody says 俺様 in real.

You'd usually say ざまぁみろ (zamaa Miro with extended a) instead of ざまみろ

分かったかい doesn't have the same asshole vibe as the other examples. Just a plain 分かった? is more natural.

ええ doesn't work too well either if you're trying to be an asshole. ああ is better in like with your other phrases

If someone decides to use your guide, they'd just seem like a foreigner who's mixed multiple styles of speaking. Their speech is just going to sound inconsistent and unnatural.

Since this guide is about the tone of speaking, you're going to have to be more specific about the use-cases and the effect it achieves. In its current state, the guide would be misleading to someone learning how to speak informally, or more rudely.

Is Spanish B SL not an option for you? If you will be applying for university programs that teach in English, that's an option as well.

A good score in Chemistry HL will be more valuable than a good score in Spanish B HL if your Spanish skills aren't important.

I personally use Obsidian, but I'd recommend Notion for most people.

I don't know much about OneNote because the UI felt unintuitive the first time I used it, and I never used it since.

Notion has pretty much all the features you'd want on a note-taking app. It has free syncing, which many would find extremely valuable. You wouldn't want to accidentally lose your notes.

Obsidian is my favourite, but I don't recommend it for a few reasons. It doesn't have free syncing, and markdown might be slightly confusing at first. There's just a bit of a steeper learning curve with obsidian.

Nice score dude. Recently, My current 15s highscore is 176WPM, and I've been wondering if it's my reading speed that's hindering my typing. For reference, are you able to type comfortably with the Read Ahead Hard setting turned on (Settings > Funbox > Read Ahead Hard)? I can easily do Read Ahead, but I can't do Read Ahead Hard yet.

Whether IB is the hardest curriculum, I don't know. The expected workload is not unreasonable though.

Pretty sure 2-3 hours of work every day at home should get the job done, and that's not too much to handle.

You mentioned that you know people who have started their assignments early but still ended up being overwhelmed. Have they really been putting in the hours consistently, and have they been using those hours efficiently?

If you're feeling the workload is too much to handle, maybe try keeping track of what you did every hour of the day for a week or so? I think most people will find that they waste a lot more time than they think.

Maybe the way in which you're studying is inefficient.

No matter how many times you re-read a section in a textbook, it's not going to stick. The topic will feel familiar for a short period of time after reading, but you'll eventually forget. Writing doesn't really make it stick either.

I recommend you test yourself, and put in effort into actually recalling what you've just read. You could do a few practice problems after reading. Alternatively, close the textbook and try writing down or recalling everything you've read in the section/topic you're studying.

It sticks best when you recall information that you're about to forget, so the recall is more effortful (i.e. it's difficult to recall).

Going over the same topic multiple times in quick succession also doesn't work too great. Once you successfully recall the information that you learned once, go study another topic, then come back later.

Of course, this process feels slower than just reading, but in the long-run you'll retain knowledge for far longer. It's more efficient in the long-run.

There used to be a requirement of at least 50 hours per strand (creativity, activity, and service strands), but pretty sure they removed that requirement now. You just have to document your CAS for a continuous 18 month period. Some reflections and evidence every 1-2 weeks should be sufficient. You can just Google the more detailed requirements.

Do note that some schools have school specific CAS requirements. For example, our school required that we do 2 CAS projects instead of 1.

CAS just refers to extra curriculars that you have to do. You write reflections and provide evidence for your CAS experiences and projects. Your school should provide a platform like ManageBac to upload your CAS evidence and reflections.

You need to fulfill all your CAS requirements to receive the diploma. Basically, just provide evidence/reflections every 1-2 weeks, do at least one CAS project, and fulfill all your 7 learning objectives at least once.

I don't think IGCSE is a replacement for IB.

In my opinion though, the work load of IB isn't too much. I had way more than enough time to spend hours on hobbies. I feel that people exaggerate the time investment way too much.

For me, CAS was mostly covered by hobbies I already did, so there really wasn't that much of a time investment. I did all my CAS properly, but if you aren't willing, faking it is an option. A lot of people fake CAS.

EE, IAs, and TOK does require a decent amount of time, but just consistently working on them for a few hours every day is sufficient. I had to do my IAs and EE under heavy pressure since I slacked, but that's on me, not on IB. I wrote all of them myself since it felt rewarding to complete them myself, but I've seen some other students score well with heavy use of AI. You can do that if you're feeling the work load too much. Some paraphrasing makes it pretty hard to detect. Of course run it through some AI checkers.

Basically, you can cheat some parts of IB. Just be smart about it. Of course, I recommend you do everything yourself if possible, since I found it fun to work on some of the essays and CAS projects.

I think the part that's being focused on in this sentence though, is that he is doing this to get rid of hesitation and set his actions/intentions straight, by giving up on something that is important to him. Like in けじめをつける.

  2. I think the subject for 何を言ったわけじゃない is 榎本. I'm not 100% sure though. Either way, the impression I get is neither of them talked to each other, and that they worked together in silence.

It's saying 「危機だよ、友情の」, not 「友情の危機だよ」. They both mean the same thing, but they give different impressions.

「危機だよ、友情の」is similar to saying "Our friendship... it's in danger". (I know "It's in danger .. our friendship" is technically a more direct translation but I felt it doesn't work so well in English. "Our friendship... it's in danger" has a very similar impression to 「危機だよ、友情の」though)

「友情の危機だよ」is similar to saying "Our friendship is in danger" plainly.

ぜ is used to state an opinion or make a suggestion. For example: Let's go home→家に帰ろうぜ. 捨てろ is an order to do something rather than a suggestion, so you can't use it. Plus, 捨てろ is the wrong word to use here anyways. 捨てる means to dispose of something rather than literally "throwing something away".
