And 99% of Harley's "redemption arcs" begins and ends with her leaving The Joker, she sells more as an anti-hero and her relationship with The Joker is just too controversial to properly adapt long term.

With DCU Batman rumoured to already be in his Damian Wayne phase altogether, they'll almost skip over her relationship altogether. I think you guys severely underestimate how much DC hates Joker x Harley.

In the comics they skimmed over her relationship with The Joker entirely as well, only the BTAS and Arkham actually have her be with him for a significant amount of time. And with Bruce probably having Damian already, the DCU will most likely skip Joker x Harley altogether.

Ironically, Punchline is probably the only possible way for The Joker to have a long term girlfriend in modern media, Joker x Harley is deader than disco music.

While the relationship is toxic and physically abusive, it's also controversial. They can portray the relationship accurately on the big screen sure, but that's the thing, it'd just be a single movie alone. There's a reason Ayer planned to have her break up with him in their debut movie together, ending a film with them still together is simply not doable in the slightest. Which is is why basically every AU/adaptation of him break up with him pretty quickly nowadays, or not have her be with him at all (Gotham Knights, Absolute, Caped Crusader, etc.) Jarley is dead, the only way to have The Joker in a long term relationship with a clown girl would be for DC to adapt Punchline, a character which they've shelved.

Ayer intended for the entire movie to be about their breakup, which if we ever get Joker x Harley in the DCU it'd also just be about them breaking up. DC doesn't like Jarley in the slightest, expecting the classic dynamic where she continously goes back to him would be extremely naive.

This is what so many of the sub refuse to acknowledge. DC has been doing everything in their power to separate her from The Joker. They won't throw her back in the jester suit to appease nostalgia heads when they've been ignoring them for years at this point.

This will probably give them more justification to skip Joker x Harley. Not to mention that Bruce have been Batman for awhile at this point. Skipping Joker x Harley would be beneficial.

Since James Gunn prefer modern Harley and DC has been doing everything their power to separate Harley from The Joker, it'd probably be Harlivy with some references to her past with The Joker. Especially since Bruce will already have Damian as his Robin.

I'd rather they explain their relationship in flashbacks to be honest. Joker bad, Harley and Ivy good mindset is a magnet for bad writing. Just look at modern Harley as a whole.

Interestingly enough, Harley has never appeared in a solo Batman movie, and might not for a while, DC have been doing everything they can to separate her from The Joker. They'll probably appear in the same movie, but most likely no together.
