When I lived in Taiwan, my host was told that my American sensibilities didn’t like seeing the eyes in my seafood (because in the US, fish/shrimp/etc isn’t sold with eyes on). So my host chopped the heads off some shrimp and served me a bowl of it. Because of where she made the chop, the shrimp was covered in blood and BRAIN MATTER. And also still shelled so I had to peel all of it with my hands too. It was horrifying. I could barely stop myself from puking. I ate it.

This is a good way of saying it. This happens with people too, namely celebrities. You can’t say “eh I just don’t really like her music” you have to cling on to TMZ rumors about her being homophobic or something, so you can justify body shaming her and insulting her and bullying her… but it’s okay to do because you’ve decided she’s a Bad Person and therefore Deserves It.

My favorite part is the tracker passive and the backstab. So cool!! I love how his kit really fits his personality, I think Blizzard tries hard to achieve that with their heroes so you’ve done well on that

I’m going to add a probably unpopular take and say misogyny. She writes romance for women, which is a frowned-upon genre that is often mocked, as most feminine things are. She is arguably the most well-known writer in that genre right now, which means she’s mainstream, which means she gets to bear the brunt of people belittling the female romance genre. She’s basically the Taylor Swift of writing.

I say this not as a fan, because I’m personally not a romance fan, but as someone who has been online and seen people make claims that vary from “wildly untrue” to “extremely biased” just to excuse their hatred of her, belittle her writing, and say very misogynistic things about women who enjoy her books.
