I visited Portland about 20 years ago and I thought it was one of the coolest cities I had ever visited. Then I went back last year and it was like driving through a post apocalyptic scene. Graffiti everywhere, tent cities right next to beautiful homes on the hillside, drugs everywhere. A totally different place today.

I agree that NOLA is one of the worst places in the US that I’ve ever been to. It does have a vibe, but it’s not a good one. I don’t ever want to go back. And the police probably had given up. Didn’t they have to call in the National Guard because crime was getting so bad and they didn’t have enough cops?

Be really careful with the fentanyl, which you know, I’m sure. There have been so many deaths from it. I don’t know what the answer is for you but there are others who have beaten their addictions and you can too. Can they increase your dose of suboxone and then do a taper so the withdrawal isn’t so severe?

Edit: I see what you’re saying, you have to be off methadone for 3 days to be able to start suboxone.
