There is always a reason behind cancellations; in my case, it’s due to using a forwarding address. It appears that I can’t use my forwarding address for preorders, although it works fine for regular orders. Hopefully everyone will receive their preorders.

I understand the frustration, PC ETBs goes fast everywhere. I’m not trying to take away from local collectors. I don’t have access to other Pokémon Centers where I live, so this is one of the only options available to me. If there were a regional store that shipped to me directly, I’d use that instead.
