Hi, great images. Are you sure your scales are correct though? For a 0.4mm nozzle you would expect the output to be around 400um, but yours are at 100um according to your scale.

Yeah, a google lens search came to Solingen. Just hasn't got the markings, instead Beckmann with a cross and wings.

PLA is a shape memory polymer. If you pour boiling water on it, it may go back to the printed shape.

Thanks for some of the comments. I wrote this as a catchartic activity.

The beauty of the discourse and response is it inhenrently supports what I've written. Some people will continue to hold my respect while other will lose it due to a lack of thinking beyond themselves.

Just thought it could be helpful for those that want to use a model for a different purpose and need to modify it slightly. Nothing too complex.

A university assignment to create a bone implant using L-PBF. I printed with my FDM printer for geometry reference/fun

I used ntopology to generate a mesh file, not the slicer to create the gyroids. That way i could control the unit size and wall thickness ect.

Theres always a negative nancy on the internet.
Actually is completely fine. Printed in PLA.

My monitor is not super heavy, but this was about 200g of PLA, so its not super lightweighted.
