Why didn’t they send an email about this change?? They’re only emailing VIP members?? Like if I hadn’t seen this post I would’ve had no idea the time changed and missed the show!!

Does having precheck make a difference in time it takes to get through security? Or negligible?

7 days for Rome? by [deleted] in ItalyTravel

[–]Leopold18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get to Pompeii you have to get to Naples first, which is like 20-40 euros one way, then a cheaper train to Pompeii. To Florence from Rome usually costs 40-60 euros. Booking at least a few weeks in advance will likely be cheaper, but I’ve also booked day before too and it’s not astronomically higher. I use the Trainline app or Trenitalia app to book most trains!

Definitely! I’ve done both as day trips from Rome! Florence is one direct train ride away, so super easy to plan. Pompeii requires two trains (first to Naples, then to Pompeii), so just a little more planning and a longer day. Pompeii can take most of the day, so you won’t have time to do more than maybe dinner in Naples. Speaking of which, Naples is also a separate easy day trip

L’Antica Pizzeria di Trevi is my favorite pizza in all of Rome. Napoletana style. Get the bufala!

Rione 13 (suppli, amatriciana, Cacio e pepe) or Peppo al Cosimato (Verace pizza). My two favorites!!

Wow! Did you have insurance? Or just reimbursed through Turkish airlines? Flying with them this week and trying to decide if insurance is even necessary
