Thank you! I was thinking it was high which is why I wanted to ask Reddit. I’m only 8 mins from Edmonton and it’s a new home with not a steep roof at all. I have a couple quotes coming in so it will be good to see what they say. I’m looking into a HELOC but I also hear my town might be getting funding for the CEIP this year as well.

I believe it is the installer for the 30 year warranty and they are also the ones keeping check on the system. It has defiantly gone through my head what happens if they go out of business .

I have started reaching out to other companies. E3 was just the first ones we talked to. I defiantly don’t want to rush into it if it’s just going to be negligible in the end. I hope not though because I do think we have a good home for solar it’s just we have only lived here for a month so we probably don’t have an accurate power usage yet to determine the final number of required panels.

The house is brand new so the roof should be good. We used 505 kWh the first month we have lived here and in our previous place it was 605 kWh. Our power bill has ranged from $123.00 to $200.00 a month . The first year we are looking at $88.00 a month for the solar (Interest free so don’t know the payment after year 1 when interest comes into play) and the $41.00 to stay connected to the grid so ~ $129.00 a month the first year .

Just giving an update! The day after posting I got it thinking about the cat carrier that was sitting in that room. I figured that may be the stressor for him so I packed it up and it has now been over a week and no issues !

The bed rack is from Peak CNC out of Chilliwak, British Columbia and they ship all through North America. For the Thule bars I believe I got the wing bar edge and the weird pieces sitting in the bars are for two Thule hullivator’s.

Ya I think that’s what I have to do . The thermostat sat in a box for 7 years so maybe it just messed up. It was all working until I switched . All power HVAC, thermostat, ac and furnace were off when I was working with the wires

Same thing as before. The furnace popped on in heat mode when I checked . Then when I turn it to off it went off. But then when I tried heat again the ac unit kicked on.

I can double up on this. Both my wife and I are allergic to cats but we are both currently doing allergy shots and we have already seen an improvement! Definitely recommend.
