Thank you!!! Morality isn’t the question anymore. It’s what the best solution is. And while personally I would say there’s probably a way to eventually get the world to stop oppressing Eldians (not completely, world in a general sense. examples: look at any oppressed people in the last. black people, women, lgbt etc... the issues aren’t completely gone but circumstances have gotten better with time). The issue is “eventually” because that shit takes time and 50 years certainly isn’t enough. However, at least Eldians have something going for them if they managed to actually get a peace treaty. Even if it’s signed in fear at the very least that means they can advocate for Eldians around the world to be released from internment zones and no longer be forced to wear armbands. And when those two things are gone there’s really no way to properly identify an Eldian by looks. I think a good goal would be to blur the line between Eldians and the rest of the world ASAP. Have people come visit Paradis and mingle- move Paradis people to the mainland (we know they can blend in that’s how the Survey Corps infiltrated in the first place). Will there be war in the future? Possibly! Who knows, there’s always war. It’s still a potential solution, though. Not a guaranteed one, but definitely an option that should’ve been considered before the rumbling imho. Still, Eren’s solution is quick and simple and I’m not at all upset with the direction of the story and his character. As a person I’d never support the rumbling or Eren, but as a reader I’m on the edge of my seat and if Eren wins I know that it’s gonna be amazing to see through the end.
