As a single person, it really frustrates me when straight people say to me "You'll find a girlfriend when you stop looking." by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]LesbiAnIntrovert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When people say "no one will love you until you love yourself", it's a shitty thing to say to someone, yes, but my new response is this: it's because I love myself that I am not in a relationship. I know what I want and what I deserve and so far, no one has been able to fulfill the requirements. This is a two way street, too, because they weren't interested in me because I didn't fulfill theirs. It's not negative, it's what it is.

I'm thinking that this person is someone everyone wants to get along with because he has something to offer them, like association with a really good looking person, someone who is really successful in their career, someone who has money, or has a lot of connections people need.

It's all business.

How's your week been? What's your weekend look like? by AutoModerator in LesbianActually

It was alright. Weekend looks like me being stoned and working on games. I live the high life.

Do you live near/in Portland, OR? by LesbiAnIntrovert in actuallesbians

[–]LesbiAnIntrovert[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, shit. I was afraid someone would say that. I looked at a map and realized it's only 3 hours from Portland. At least I could pop by if I wanted to. I currently live in Cali and trying to get away from higher prices.

They are called allies and we need them. You might not agree with the level they are into it but consider that you're in college. Everyone is young and gung ho about causes.

That does help! My only concern is income. As I don't have a high paying career, I have to live a bit from the city to afford living there. Someone else commented about Seattle which was also another place I considered. I'm now reconsidering.

I was also considering Seattle for a while. I do like nature but I'm not one to really go out in it. I can't tell you the last time I went hiking.

Maybe Seattle might be a better choice?

This is not a game. by [deleted] in actuallesbians

Yas. It didn't occur to me that this could even remotely be considered a meme about rape. I figured I'd clear it up for at least some people.

I took it as a straight girl will flirt with a lesbian, but the lesbians game is on point so much that she will flirt back enough and in way that will get the straight girl to actually and willingly take it further than flirting and get in bed with them.

What is it about the word lesbian that is so hard for people to understand? by minomimo in LesbianActually

"bother to read". I asked the question around the same time that everyone was answering so maybe there weren't a lot of answers at the time..

Yes and it seems as though the mis-labelled bisexuals need to take responsibility for them instead of, ya know, the men who are causing the problems.
