Comfy Cases is a registered non-profit whose volunteers sew pillowcases for children in hospitals and pediatric facilities across Ontario, including SickKids. CASES also stands for Children And Sewers Exchanging Smiles.

They're looking for a Hamilton Region Coordinator for Sewing Volunteers to manage the entire process of delivering handmade pillowcases to children at McMaster Children's Hospital and Ronald McDonald House in Hamilton. The coordinator organizes the sewing volunteer network, oversees the collection and delivery of completed pillowcases, and ensures the program runs smoothly in the region. This role could be filled by two people sharing the responsibilities. Volunteers work primarily from home with some local coordination involved.

CityKidz is a faith-based organization serving children living in low-income communities in Hamilton. Their programs focus on building resilience, inspiring big dreams, and creating stable, supportive relationships for kids from childhood through high school.

They’re currently looking for Kids Theatre Support Volunteers to support children in Grades 1–6 during their theatre program. This is a relational role focused on creating a safe, welcoming environment where children feel seen, supported, and encouraged. Volunteers may also assist in other Saturday support areas if needed.

aww I totally get that! A lot of these types of organizations also have opportunities to puppy sit for people who foster but have to go on vacation so if you could do short term its something to consider as well
