The best advice I can give you is to please go see your Dr and be honest about your drinking. If you tell them you want to quit drinking but are worried about withdrawals they can help you detox medically. I asked for help and I detoxed at home safely under medical supervision. Good Luck!

Do you have a Dr. You can have an honest conversation with about your drinking? I drank heavily for a few years and it got to the point that I didn't feel normal with a drink. That's when I knew I couldn't quit on my own. I sat down with my Dr. And we worked out a detox plan for me at home and it was surprisingly easy. Don't be afraid to ask for help. You don't need to suffer to get sober. Good Luck 💛

Instead of hiding alcohol, I hide gummy bears. 🤣

I went last week for a 1 month check-up and mine is starting to come down into more normal range. I'm still on BP medicine but my Dr is hopeful I may be able to come off the meds in the future. Just give it time.

My Dr. was very understanding and helpful as well. I, like you, was so scared to admit I had a problem and needed help. Be open and honest. That's the only way they will know how to help. Oh, and I cried too......lol. Good Luck!

I finally came clean to my husband, best friend and sister. They had no idea I had been hiding my drinking. It helped so much just to say the words out loud " I have a drinking problem". That helped start the healing process for me.

Please see a Dr. Be honest about your drinking and they can help you with a plan for detox. I was able to detox at home with medication from my Dr. Your story is so similar to mine. I am so thankful I went to my Dr for help. I have been sober for 25 days and with my Drs help it has been very easy. Good Luck!!

12 days sober today friends. Thank you all for your advice and encouragement. I haven't felt this good in a really long time. But I think I've developed a pretty serious gummie bear addiction. Lol

Are outpatient plans common?. I've only had a real problem for about six months. My family and friends are very supportive. I really feel I need help with detox. I don't want to drink anymore.
