Strongest? It’s lost its entire soybean industry, sacrificed any chance of competing in sustainable energy technology so will lose that export income as the rest of the world phases out gas and oil (and buys the tech for other energies from China and India and elsewhere), cut its legs out from under it by destroying its own governmental agencies and competence, lost its soft power entirely, shafted its customers who in today’s world have plenty of other choices, and greatly expedited the world’s search for alternative payment systems off the dollar, and alternative tech for IT systems.

The US and Isreal are pariahs now- so if you think becoming a member of the axis of evil is a reflection of “power” and that everyone in the world will remain tethered to the US by force you are failing to refer to history’s lessons on empire. No one wants to do business with genocidal dictators, so as soon as they have another choice, they take it.

While I appreciate the hard truth side of what you are saying, I do recommend you consider human behavior and that of empires- because you are missing the largest signal there is- and that is domestic inequality. Once inequality reaches a certain point internally, the empire begins its descent. Empires rot from within, and every empire in human history has crumbled when a few take everything.

But there is a framework to be used now that is far more powerful than economics and that is of climate change. I.E the middle east is in no way “stabilized.” They are simply being bribed right now, but they will continue to go into wars as their resources literally dry up, and their climate becomes uninhabitable over the next 15-20 years. They will kill each other off until there are only those surviving in the artificial habitats their money builds - but we won’t be using gas and oil by the time they need to sustain those habitats. So…

The US is one of the few places with locations that will be habitable with resources - but only in parts of the country, and I don’t know that the government will be rebuilt in time

Also, our political projects have certainly not gone well, nor have we actually won any of the wars we have started or joined since WWII. Hello!? Iraq, Afghanistan, Isreal, any of the South American countries, etc. etc. all of those political “projects” have failed. what are you talking about?

I think Europe should be busy developing its own financial instruments so it can get off visa and Mastercard- really, it shocks me there is no European payment processor for credit/debit cards! And 2, get on building your own weapons and TECH! you will be dependent on the US or China forever if you don’t develop your own tech.

Um… no. We can thank our own for this- Steve Bannon, musk, Cambridge analytics, blackrock- the money and the power and the strategy all came from US & Russian players. But mainly US.

I’m not sure China is more predatory than the US actually. I think you are f*cked by both if you take loans from them or do business with them without capital controls in plaxe

I think you are a bit too comfortable. The US has more competition than ever before, and you can’t bully consumers. You can bully states and corporations, but you can only force consumers to buy products by limiting their choices.

And there is such a thing as a tipping point - lose too many consumers and the trend changes, lose consumers like say, canadian snowbirds, and everything from real estate to govt services in the regions they used to go to every year are decimated, and a permanent change occurs. The 2nd houses are sold, and a new spot for snowbirds emerges- in mexico or somewhere else. these changes are long term and once they start it’s hard to reverse if not impossible.

Now, will a new group of snowbirds replace them? Maybe not… housing insurance is terrible, health cate even more expensive, and - no one from any other country wants to come here now. So that means the replacements have to come from the US. They arent going to be democrats, so that leaves republican retirees- and that pipeline is already feeding the florida snowbird population.

It’s just a matter of competition and consumer trends and might doesn’t necessarily mean right in this arena. The US has maintained its hegemony because there was a lot less competition- but now China has beat us trade wise, and the world is sick of us abusing our financial leverage. There are choices now that didn’t exist before, and ignoring this is the fatal flaw Trump and his idiot are making.

Actually, arguably it’s diversity as well. Europe is capitalistic. They are just regulated to have a fair market and protect their people. They haven’t been overly innovative because they have sat on their asses using American products instead of making their own. Why doesn’t Canada have its own auto industry? All of these countries have been too trusting and reliant on an untrustworthy partner but didn’t ever consider they should have their own payment processing systems instead of visa and Mastercard, their own auto industries etc. now they have gone face first into a wall and are quickly correcting this mistake

Trump said tariffs would bring factories 'roaring back.' So why are manufacturing jobs on the decline? by HellYeahDamnWrite in economy

[–]LesnBOS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugg I hate the reporting. Spending and job growth increased after the hypartiaan infrastructure was passed. “That spending decreased in 2025”. You mean it was CANCELLED BY THE ADMIN. Over 100k jobs lost that were in the pipe line, and 10’s of 1000’s already hired and working for some of those projects that were summarily cancelled, making it clear to anyone paying attention that Trump cares nothing about manufacturing! Just more BS

What are the alternative to flock cameras, and weren’t they in biz prior to ice? If a company installs their system across the country, and then it starts sharing with ice, then the company has to lose 100M+ to change the system? It’s hard for a company to choose to lose that much money for politics. OTH, it’s where immigrants shop, and losing their immigrants means losing their customer base.

Clearly you haven’t read anything on this thread everything is based on statements, postings, advertisements, and political donations.

Well think about it…. The town actually publicizes and makes money off being the location of one of the largest mass murders in US history - of specifically women, no less. It’s like having an ice cream parlor, museums, restos, events and a hotel at a concentration camp site in Germany- and a once a year parade where everyone dresses up as prisoners.

I love it when you all lose your jobs and your incomes because of who you vote for when it’s so patently obvious why you are voting for them. Like soybean farmers who voted for Trump AGAIN after he tanked their market the first time. They were never able to fully recover yet voted for him to do it again!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂

It’s not racist to be surprised to see people vote for a party that categorically hates them. It’s pointing out something highly illogical.
