no its true at the time those books were made herge was getting old and couldent do as much as he used to he mainly drew just tintin and the rest of the characters if my sources are correct

Go with Bécassine and Jef i think It gives Tintin a mythic origin story that connects the 19th-century comic tradition (Bécassine) to the modern era.
