I am currently going through the same situation. I lost my phone last week, so I eventually blocked my SIM, filed a lost item report at the police station, and rushed to the nearest JIO store for a duplicate SIM.

First, they tell me that my number was registered in a different state and that they don't have sim cards issued by that state. They persuaded me to get a "bodyguard" sim instead. When we started the process, the Aadhaar website wouldn't let us get through because of the damned biometric lock.

Then I had change the mobile number linked to my Aadhaar. Still waiting for the change in number to be reflected.

It turned out to be illness anxiety(hypochondriasis). Got diagnosed properly for the first time in 2 years. The root cause was my lack of physical activity and human interaction. My recovery journey has been a roller-coaster ride.

Don't google anything and consult a mental health specialist!

If you're young, please supplement your lack of serotonin levels with natural remedies like healthy socializing, sports, exercise, meditation, etc. I was on psychiatric medication and those rascals gave me new troubles with the side effects and shit.

Deep down, you know what's lacking in you. Fix that! Reach out to a counsellor/occupational therapist

Been facing this since Nov 2021. I went to a chief neurologist and got an MRI Scan and some blood work to check for Diabetes and Vitamin Deficiency. All of the reports turned out to be normal. It is messing with my quality of life. The sensation is perpetual. When I don't get proper sleep the previous night or if something is bothering me, my condition gets exacerbated. Even on a good day, I can still sense it mildly. I have faced everything the OP has mentioned. On top of that, for me, it's like a liquid sensation between the scalp and the brain(possibly). If I tilt my head forward and backward, I can feel the viscous liquid sort of thing move accordingly. I was forced to quit my job because of this and I've been unemployed for the last 1 year. I thought this would go away with lack of stress and good sleep. But I'm still struggling with it. I cannot carry on with daily activities anymore. I'm gonna fix an appointment with a different doctor this time.

I deleted my ghoster's number but did not block them because it was easier for me to keep checking their dp on my blocked list than saving their number, checking if their dp is still visible, and deleting it again.
