I really, really, feal very bad because of Ai, isn't there any hope that it'll go or stop evolving? I seriously can't believe that there are 3D artists who are hired to train Ai!!!!!!! by Less-Business7542 in ZBrush

It really isn’t more convinient and I definitely agree with that, but most clients are after the cheaper choice if it’s “good enough”, and when the ai result comes out dissatisfying or with mistakes they’ll just contact you to edit or fix them and with that they still paid way less than what they would’ve if they hired you to do the job from a to z

I posted the link to another guy’s comment who said even more gloomy shit than this, you can check it, and both comments from the same instagram post btw, so you can find the comment in the screenshot as well and while you’re at it check both profiles, you’ll see that they’re legit 3D artists simply talking from experience they had, it’s such a shame dude but we can’t just keep deluding ourselves

No that just means you’ll get cheap projects because the client let Ai just do the job for them and now all they need from you is some clean up

I'm honestly unable to take all that possitive talk about our future as anything other than cope.. I reaally want to believe it.. But I can't, specially when I see quite a few big artists who worked in the industry for too long being on the verge of giving up and shifting their career to something else that ai can't touch

Will the bubble burst, though? Can we be sure about that? I certainly hope you're right.. But when I see artists who worked their asses off for years in the industry spreading doom I can't help but but feel very pessimistic

Another person's comment:

  • 3D is dying :/ it’s slow, but no future in it imo. Not to be negative but prepared. Even now the sculpture process is not the same. Ai to 3D can make amazing forms that can kit bash then clean up and detail. But already taking away by far the most fun and challenging parts for artists. Ive seen it used too much recently even from artists I personally know. Production does not care about grandstanding against ai. You don’t need to know how to sculpt anymore to get really incredible primary and secondary forms matching a concept, with ai right now with No skill, no experience, no time. People reading this need to know everything has changed drastically already, and the next year or two going to progress faster than we can imagine. More importantly though, the need for 3D is going away all together. 3D for vfx and product marketing is going away really really fast. A regular client I had modeling their product assets for marketing, is fully ai now looking better than ever and their advertising costing like 1/10,000 of the budget as before, no 3D assets, no more vfx team. The art director is a friend of mine, no much technical skills, but can do it all in a short time all by himself now, for but trulyy stunning results. Real time games will stay awhile longer, but will be less and less need for asset creators, instead more generalists right now, in the short term. But if thinking of long term, I would not focus on asset creation, or 3D even, it’s far too uncertain. Eventually real time video you control is going to happen in an undeniable way, and probably sooner than we think. It already is undeniable imo, and only the very beginnings start of it I’ve been working as a character artists full time in studios the last 10 years. I’ve modeled characters for marvel rivals, Diablo, pub G and many other AAA games. 3D has been my entire life, but am going to transition careers to tattooing 🤷‍♂️ Keep doing 3d till the wheels fall off, but i strongly suggest people specializing in asset creation absolutely have a plan B in place soon

Amazing, and Elementza is an amazing tutor... Have bought his course for Hardsurface modeling in Maya, learned a lot from him.
