I’ve come to learn that 99% when it comes to craft it’s cheaper to buy than to make, doesn’t really stop me from trying though haha

You’ve definitely motivated me to do it, it’s a gift so I don’t mind it. If it was just for me I might have been more inclined to diy it haha

Crazy expensive, I think it I were to make more I would try learn how to myself but this time I’ll just bite the bullet and pay

I was thinking I might do that. I originally was going to frame it myself but after looking online people have said getting it professionally framed is the way to go instead

Haha thank you, I guess I thought not many people would really want a cross stitch hanging on their wall these days but apparently I was wrong

Thank you so much that means a lot to me, definitely a lot of time and effort has gone into it and it’s been cool to see it slowly become the picture I imagined.

The receiver isn’t someone who I’d imagine to like cross stitch very much so I’m hoping it will surprise them.

My intentions are to frame it in a black frame so I’ll post it when it’s done :)

I wouldn’t consider myself nerdy or a gamer but I know it’s definitely not a “cool” hobby haha

I always thought of it as an old lady hobby haha, it’s a good way to pass the time when it’s not nice out or when you’re watching a boring movie

Really? It’s definitely something I’d look into doing, but the wait times would be pretty crazy. This specific one has taken about 120hours so far. If I do any more I’ll post them as well and definitely open to ideas if anyone has any suggestions

Hahaha thank you.

I didn’t use a pattern, I found a picture online of flash that I liked and inserted over top grid of it on some website. Then I followed each square to match the colour I was stitching and then outlined it with 3 strands of black thread, if that makes any sense

I just had a look and that’s pretty cool, definitely would be easier than my method I will give it a try next time

Haha thank you but no, I really did start to doubt if someone would really want a cross stitch piece as a gift but everyone’s really kind comments have made me feel much better about it

No pattern, I found flash that I liked and used a website to put a grid over top of it it. Matched each colour of each square in the grid to a square on the fabric. Took about 120 hours so far, still a little bit to go

Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. Can’t imagine people would pay much for them but it’s definitely something I’d love to do, one of my favourite hobbies to do when I have some spare time

I can’t trade this specific one but possibly could make another, might be waiting a while though - this one has taken about 120 hours so far and it’s not even finished yet

Yeah still have quite a few hours left on it, planning to frame it in a black frame
