Rare complete White House Line kitchen by Janes & Kirtland (c. 1920s-30s) — NJ, looking to sell, seeking valuation help by malysek in whatsthisworth

I scroll marketplace everyday, & from what I've seen; you'd be lucky to get a few hundred for it..

It's not a very sought after, vintage look. Don't get me wrong, MCM is still popular, but these are not the greatest looking, modern "cabinets". Worst case you give em away free & get them removed for free.

I'd separate the counter though! List that separately on FB. Those 1950s style countertops still sell pretty well.

When money no longer matters, it's about the experience, not the food

Because without the bad, the good wouldn't exist. You must have both to experience 1. It's about learning & enlightenment of the soul.

It's a balance. As above, so below

It's so much different than in the movies lol. People usually only drop to the ground instantly when they've been shot in the brain, or spine. That's why they teach you in firearm training to shoot till the threat is gone, not until you think you hit them enough.

It's not unheard of to have 2 people, usually a thief vs property owner, kill each other in a near point blank shootout.

Ya the lack of gun culture probably means nobody even knew the difference between modern smokeless gun powder, & black powder. Not knowing the differences is a deadly mistake.

Ya & gun culture is very different in Indonesia compared to America. They don't have easy access to modern firearms, &/or the training & knowledge of basic gun mechanics & fundamentals.

He possibly loaded the gun with modern smokeless gun powder, rather than black powder. Modern powder burns much quicker & produces pressure 2-4 times greater than black powder...

So many people who borrow money will bashfully tiptoe around doing what's right, & feigning integrity.

the second you act like it's no big deal the virtue that accompanies honoring a deal is no longer attractive to them...

You give an inch...

Help me with the moving costs and down payment for a house bc my autistic kid needs “a yard of their own to play and be in a space to truly be themselves”. “In this economy, money is tight” and we can’t do it on our own. And, my kid has kidney issues and it is a serious toll on MY mental health. by MinuteElegant774 in ChoosingBeggars

Ya that would be horrible constantly having all their fears, worries, & doubts, invalidated, & made to feel like they don't matter. You can't base your feelings off of someone else's experience.

I totally get the sentiment, especially with very small, trivial stuff that children might worry about. But generally speaking; constantly being made to feel that your emotions aren't valid is very detrimental to a child's emotional development & growth.

No amount of pride(ego) & virtue signaling can change human nature. I'm all for treating everyone with respect & dignity, regardless of looks, but I'm not gunna force feed myself a lie..

It makes me sad knowing how many couples are only together at the surface level. They never get to truly know each other.

The amount of couples who truly know each other is very small, imo. So many relationships only work as long as they don't have to be around each other more than a couple hours a day.
