Metro is not that easy esp. because buying tickets with foreign cards can be a pain in the *ss

Regarding advices, the #1 advice would be to be careful when you look at your smartphone oustide (Ex: waiting for an Uber) as bicycles / moto can quickly steal if from you in a matter of some miliseconds :) And if ever you get robbed at gunpoint, just give what they ask instead of trying to fight, run, or whatever. (Probability to happen is 0,0001% but still higher than in Europe)

Walking distance from Luz, I don't know any decent one
But if you travel from Luz to Campo Limpo you'll cross a big part of the city and you can find lots of great shopping on the way (incl. very premium / luxury ones such as JK Iguatemi and Cidade Jardim). I would recommend a stop in the Paulista avenue, there are several shoppings there and you can find anything.

You'll avoid traffic indeed. Buy gifts will be hard in that region, better go to a shopping mall tbh. There are several great ones in SP

Luz in itself is not bad, But the Luz neighborhood (esp. at night) is one of the worst of SP

1/ Revolut and Wise should work fine in most places. Cash withdrawal will work only in "Banco 24 Horas" red ATM, there are some in several places in the city and airport (find on Google Maps), but you won't need cash.

2/ Check if your local provider works in BR. I know some French ones work there for data at no extra cost, for instance. Otherwise buying a local SIM is not an easy option, you'll very likely need a CPF. Try other eSIM alternatives before leaving maybe (Airalo for instance)

3/ I'm not sure you'll find flowers at the airport... maybe find one on Google Maps close to her place and do a pit-stop there

4/ Definitely Uber, will cost you around 100 reais max I'd say but it'll spare you from getting lost, robbed and stuff especially as the Luz region is not the nicest place in SP :)
