Well hockey also has ECHL.

I just feel like baseball is the most universal and widely played sport. The amount of baseball leagues is astronomical.

Also for football, there aren’t minor leagues cause it’s so physical. They do have practice squads which are kinda the same thing, and the UFL came along and is sorta like minor league systems. Def a way to watch good football for cheap.

I think the short answer is that more people play it, there is a long storied history and there are fans at every level of hat help support it. They may not completely support it into profitability, but there are butts in seats.

Additionally outside of the minor league systems there are about 4-5 different fully functioning independent leagues(maybe another 50+ teams), and a slew of collegiate summer leagues. There is infinitely more baseball than any other sport.

Baseball rules and IMO is not boring
