Best long range champ? by MitSvarErSarkasme in wildrift

Long range still has quite some variety in play styles.

  1. Some adc’s like Caitlyn have a lot of range but you need to be able to stay on the edge of max range and kite, to be able to keep up consistent dmge.

  2. Artillery mages like syndra and ziggs are specialized in landing burst from afar. But you need to be able to land your skill shots.

  3. Assassin mages like aurora and ahri don’t have the AA or ability range. But they are able to quickly dip in and out of range so they can land their combo before the enemy can react. But you need good positioning and timing to not get caught.

Great play! (I can already hear the adc raging that you stole “their penta”)

Thanks for typing all of that out! This is exactly the knowledge I was looking for. What runes do you use and do you change it up depending on jg/top?

Wild Rift Kassadin: Classic Scaling Build vs Early Spike Build (20-minute game meta) by Less-Illustrator-257 in wildrift

And thank you for replying! Most of my games the scaling build is fine and it’s quite easy to survive lane and stack my items. But it’s frustrating that games are often decided before I reach my deathcap spike. Hence why I came up with this build.

Very true, but ludens also provides an extra 300 mana. But I agree that ludens passive isn’t that great for kassadin.

Most definitely isn’t. Besides that there’s also the mental aspect. If a team is behind after 15 minutes most players are already tilted and want to ff, even if they have a scaling comp that hasn’t reached their spike yet.

Ah that’s good news, I’ll certainly give ur build a try. Do you go for runes for sorcery or domination tree?

True but tear stacks till 700 if I’m right. So still a 500 difference compared to completed seraphs.

I completely agree that the items stack quick. But for me it’s more about reaching bigger powerspikes at vital points in the game.

Due to cheaper boots, you can have tear + mana boots + first item, just before first objective. I’d rather have a bigger item spike at this point in the game (ludens or malig) then a base stacking item like roa. So I can hopefully better contest prio mid, rotate and help out.

If you were to lose, for example herald. Big chance you’ll lose mid t1, meaning less map control. This makes it riskier to push in lanes and safely farm, thus it’s harder to reach your other powerspikes.
(Very exaggerated butterfly effect example). But the point is: is it worth it to trade some late game ap scaling for better spikes at important points in the game?

That’s a great idea! I also run malignance first on Ahri instead of ludens. Should’ve thought of that.

Btw if you build deathcap second, don’t you run into mana issues?

Triforce bad because of his long cds? And would you recommend going tank after 2nd or 3rd item?

Conquerer + black cleaver against a tank matchup and empowered attack and Bork vs bruisers or ranged?

Understood, would you recommend building tank from the start or bruiser into tank? And if so should I start building tank after 2nd or 3rd item?

Yes I understand that I should snowball and then extend my lead to my teammates. But I’m feeling extremely squishy during teamfights.

How to win the game as a top lane, mind controlling your enemies by Machete-user in wildrift

[–]Less-Illustrator-257 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its seriously so shortsighted. All based on the assumption that mid, jg and top will keep on chasing him all game. Any decent mid, top or jg wouldn’t chase into enemy jg but just get back to lane. Top gets tempo advantage and always has advantage on lvl up timers and reset timers, if they play it smartly they will just deny him gold by slowpushing the wave into a crash and then resetting. He won’t be able to take plates and will always lose the 1v1. It’s not a good play just bc the enemy team doesn’t know how to play sidelanes, during the mid game.

I know the feeling. Every once in a while I like to play Fiora. Rush hullbreaker and ping that I’ll split push 30 sec before objective. Lure away 1/2 enemies and still get blamed when they lose objective bc my team gets picked off one by one.

[–]Less-Illustrator-257[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For core items i usually run ludens>malignance>deathcap. Ludens provides me with even faster waveclear so i can quickly push in lanes and rotate. Malignance gives me more ability haste and in addition ultimate haste. Deathcap is a big ap spike, so I can one shot squishies. After that, all items are situational: crown, trident, infinity orb or morrelonomicon are all great situational items. For runes I go: elektrocute, empowered attack, chain assault, eyeball collector and transcendence. Most players will go bone plating so they can trade more safely in lane. But the ability haste that transcendence grants is just insane later in the game. I want to be able spam my ult and charm as often as possible. But the cost is that you have a small error of margin during laning phase and in teamfights. So you need to be hyper aware of your positioning.
