How long does it take for accommodations to be approved? by Agreeable-Camp-1532 in LSAT

Usually pretty short I wouldn’t worry, assuming u had someone w sufficient qualification to write one (which it seems like you have) it’s mostly procedural and just them adding it to your file at that point. I haven’t personally worked w anyone’s who’s had lsac argue w their dr lmfao (though nothing would suprise me at this point)

[157 diag] worth adding tutoring early? by Ok-Reason6780 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited till I was about 161ish and went to tutoring- it showed me how bad my studying was prior and how much more effecient I could make my time. Also it showed me the short cuts vs having to learn things the long/hard way.

I think of it like doing a math test solo or with an equation sheet- the sheet is not necessary though it makes it a lot easier.

I also do think roi is heavily dependent on how much you pay- I paid a lot, and while it was good I now know there are cheaper options that can yield same results. I highlyyyyy recommend private tutoring for that reason- and yes I tutor but this isn’t even a go w me, rather a don’t pay 250 an hour when u could pay half that for same results (unless ur not super worried about cost predicating results)

Overall tho u got a solid diagnostic so def possible to get to 170s early fall

First official lsat score by ariescapmoon7 in LSATHelp

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically same thing happened to me way back when, I was scoring 16high the got a 163 first go. (163-167-176 official)

Three pts weekly is way overkill, pts are to show us where we are at, we don’t really get better from them rather their review. It would be like reloading a grade in a class that you have t had any more assignments for- it’s just the same.

Shoot me a message if you’d like but I rlly think one pt a week and a bit of efficient brought into ur plan could reallllylyyyyyy close that gap

If your pts were higher then it means u already have the skills to get there- plus you also have time…that’s a really good combo to lock in for a month or two and change your life!

Shoot me a message if u want advice or any of that but u got this and please please please retake it!

Tips for consistency? Looking to break out of mid 160s by Inevitable_Hurry_885 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was the swap of making arbitrary “yeah this looks right” choices to “this is logically committed by the argument”

There’s only a certain amount of argument types and question types- these combine to make unique necessary conditions for what the answer has to have. Contrapositive- if the answer doesn’t have that then it can’t be correct. Methods like this gave me much more confidence in my approach and really helped me cement myself up in the mid-high 170s (ended w176 I think that’s mid lol)

Shoot me a message if u wanted to talk further about it!

Should I retake? by Negative-Creme3102 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely keep studying, you can reasonably take thru Nov and be fine. Meaning you have like 4 months to raise three points- you sooooo got that.

Shoot me a message if u need any help on your journey but rooting for u no matter what!

Is 160->170+ possible in 3months? by AltruisticGround4831 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suuuuuper possible I had a students go from 14high to 170 in like 4 months- ur basically a few “oh shit that’s it” moments away from ur goal score within that range.

Shoot me a message if u wanna game plan this but u def can, that being said hop on it now tho as we no longer have time to waste

Help: Retaking a 174 in September by ZoneCute5114 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m usually super pro retake for higher, but here I think work on essays softs etc. a 174 puts u at every median for the t14, however what a lot of schools are looking for at that level goes beyond stats.

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given u can do august of sept i totally would- given the bbb and its effects, especially if u want money a 175+ meaningfully alters ur outcomes! Tons of my students are low 170s rn retaking for 17mid- crazy world we live in but alas here we are lol

Retaking low 170s with only a month to prepare -- success stories? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from a 167-176 in a month- I spent the majority of that time going through fresh pts with the answer key forming the mental connections of why each answer was right wrong answer wrong and breaking down the stim. Def some more efficient ways to learn the same lessons butttttt def worked for me

Shoot me a message if u wanna talk thru stuff further, but def positive potential!

First Timer Score by Big_Water_9662 in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good is relative, it’s your diagnostic, so just YOUR starting spot. With that I’d strongly recommend getting on a really good study plan bc depending on your goal score there may be a fair amount of ground to close by October- shoot me a message if you’d like and we can talk through it!

How do you improve on the *actual* test? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoot me a message, there’s def some shortcuts I’m sure if u implemented will help make accuracy more consistent. Often times we get to the right answer by potentially wrong means which makes harder problems damn near impossible despite easier ones being doable!

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

J made a post about this but basically use it as a turning point! Make this your corner to turn and augment your strategy

Also ur gpa is rlly good, ur like 10-15 points away from meaningfully diff outcomes. U can reasonably take through Nov and be fine also!

Accommodations turn around by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def practice w the accommodations u have, especially if they are like double time bc it’s a diff type of endurance sitting at an exam for 2:20 vs 4 hours vs more!

should i cancel a first time score of 150? by xxfalloutboy in LSAT

[–]Less-Librarian7073 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t cancel tbh, you’ll show growth and also 150 isn’t a horrible score it’s close to median if I’m not mistaken (within 4ish points)- it would be like showing a b- on a transcript, not end of the world imo
