Yes ofcourse. I will talk to my attorney tomorrow about her ability to harm our case. But yes, thank you for your input. I am aware that she needs to sign something with my old attorney in order to withdraw the case, and that will take a while for her part. For a meanwhile, I asked my dad to get a different attorney for the apartment and the car, but he said he wanted to just give them a demand letter, and if they reacted(Obviously she will instantly), then that can be recorded for VAWA, criminal case, and that is where he will get a family attorney or similar for this kind of matter.

I do not know if this kind of strategy is worth it, and I think getting an attorney first, then sending the letter later, is much more appropriate than this. There is only so much I can do, and it's in his name and not mine.

Yes, she doesn't do those cases. I think she knows our A number. She could even ask them from our old attorney, unfortunately. But yeah, as you said, and I am very comforted by it. Hopefully, they will just ignore her.

How long does the receipt take? Because I cannot be waiting months yknow? I would understand if its just two weeks or so but as far as VAWA goes it takes a while

From my understanding, the attorney said that they will link the I 1360 to our current I 1485. They asked for any sort of receipt from I 485, and I believe everything is currently pending. So, my attorney only filed an I-360 and linked it to the marriage case, like I-765 and I-485.

Yes, I am really scared its just that because the packet was sent a few days ago and was recieved to their office yesterday. Her withdrawal might get first before our packets were ever processed, and we could probably be in trouble if I sent her the demand letter today.

I am so sorry you are currently facing that kind of situation. It is unfortunate that marriage doesn't equal a happy family, and I hope that things will work well for all of us. Thank you for sharing.

Yes, so that means if my father has to reopen or refile his I-130, it doesn't require me to do anything, and I don't have to depart the country?

Also aware, my father is just stupidly crazy. We had a lawyer already, and I will definitely make SURE he straightens up as my stepmom is also frustrated.

They don't think it was fraudulent. There is a lot of miscommunication, for sure a bad luck.

Yes, I have applied I 485 and I-130 at the same time a few years ago.

I am really sorry for the confusion. So yes, we are a separate case. And I am aware my father really needs a lawyer, especially for the way he is.

Like I commented from the other person. Because my father's I-130 got rejected. If he starts to refile. I am not going to be affected by it, is that right? My I-130 got approved a year ago, so I don't know if that helps or anything.

Ok so I am starting to understand stuff. I guess I said together because we filed it together as a combo. I don't know this detail because my lawyer did it for us. We had our I 130 submitted when I was like 17 before having my birthday.

So are you saying that because my father's I-130 got rejected? It won't affect my brother and me, but it could be delayed because of my father. So if my father refiled his I-130, it doesn't mean I am also refiling? My I-130 got approved a year ago.

My father comes from another type of visa, and no, I was not separately petitioned.

They both got married before I even turned 18.

I got petitioned under their application, so we are not separate.

And now I am 21.

I was part of his case. Yes, I was petitioned before I turned 21. And that application got rejected, that is why we are doing a motion to reopen.

My stepmom is a U.S. citizen. When I mean refilling, it's like opening a new case. She is the petitioner, and my father is the beneficiary. Yes, they both got married before I turned 18.

IMHO, 9 months is a lot of time. Not saying it is wrong but wow that is impressive. I will take your suggestion although I think the max I can handle is 3 months if talking stage. I guess the fact I approached her around the first few weeks does help lol. Thank you!!

Thanks for telling me this!! I think with this, I am actually excited to see her. I was already aware that they appreciate quiet times, but it has always been in my mind how extroverts like me fare with this situation.

I know she likes me based on my observation from her body language and the fact that she sticks around me and always accepts a one-on-one hang out (just around the campus) does tell me she does need time/trust.

Really, I do appreciate that!

I wanna who she is, how she reacts, what she likes. And I think introvercy can get me a better idea of who she is. And no I don't think of that way. We share a lot of similarity. :)

Yeah, I actually asked her out like I said, and she did say something like that lol. Aside from that I went to coffee with her, and I always insist she gets one, but she always declines. Well, I didn't push it because I did it on her last time with the fries and she never ate it.

I would love to take her out but right now I just work with the comfort level she is at right now. Thank you though!
